Manga Art Secrets: The definitive guide to drawing awesome artwork in the manga style

I bought this book because it advaditised about secrets and tips.I found it not to be the generic how to draw manga for beginners, but thats why I really like it. Simple secrets and tips for them who are already experienced in manga, I've found it very helpful and simple to work with. I'm looking forward to improve work in my webtoon with some of these secrets.If your new to drawing manga you may struggle a little, but practice makes perfect.

Top tier quality art and examples. Great book.

I’m from England and I was with my sister and saw this book in an art store. I brought it to share it with her and I fell in love with it.Yes it doesn’t teach exact body autonomy but it shows an understanding and lining and how to create amazing characters. As some with 0 art skills I found this book amazing. I was originally learning how to draw manga characters online but it was not easy so I ditched the internet for this book.I WILL NEVER REGRET BUYING THIS and I’m going to hopefully buy the new book coming out by the same artist.

The publisher description is a fair representation of the actual contents. Each area of focus is broken down into smaller parts so that you can practice technique for each small element of the composition and eventually develop your own style and characters.

This book wont teach you anything unless you already have an understanding of anatomy aswell as proportions, rations and clothing/fabric folds.I know the kind of person who will be inclined to buy this sort of book. Usually you'll be a beginner, or somewhat intermediate and you'll be looking for guidance on how to get to the "next level" so to speak. This isn't it. While there are some truly great tips for true beginners (like head proportions and ratios from a few angles) it's just lackluster in other areas like the limbs and bodies. I feel the author could have simplified these a lot more instead of showing lots and lots of their own artwork (even though I find it really nice!) They gloss over fabric tension points in less than a second, and this is critical if you want to draw good clothes for your character, so I'll explain it here instead. Tension folds usually form around the position(s) of a characters joints, so for chest clothing it'll be around the upper arm area (and elbow if long sleeve) and for bottoms it's near the knees or groin of your character.

So happy with this purchase! For those that don't know, Dalia has a Class101 course where you can see how to do the things shown the book step-by-step. I had finished the course and was sad knowing it's not a lifetime offer. So I asked Dalia if she had an art book and directed me here. Everything in this book is the exact review of what's covered. If you're an intermediate artist. This is a good book to own

I really love that there’s some art pieces from other artists with different style throughout the book sections. I also really love the tips they have in practically every page.

Absolutely amazing! I also bought her class. Love her style and the book is really helpful! Even with human anatomy.
