First order wrong size came. But they fixed the issue quickly and sent the correct size. So far it works great. Very solid item for an 80lb German Shepherd.

Bought for a big, strong dog who pulls so hard that he breaks everyone's arms. It's well made, solid and smooth with a very nice, easy use hook which is wonderful! It makes putting it on and taking it off a breeze when it's time to walk this big, excited guy! I like that it is smooth and simply deters him from pulling while he learning to heel, without harming him.

I have a big lab. She responds well to these pinch type or gripping collars. This is a very good quality collar. My dog responds well to it. She is very aware that the collar is on her. Smaller pinch collars tend not to make an impression.I don't see the need for the weight added by the quick release as these colars should not be tight on the dog. It looks like it will last forever, but it is so heavy that it hangs below her neck, when I would prefer the clasp and leash ring to stay at the back of her neck. (the picture of the one I purchased was not accurate. It did not show the release clip. Perhaps it is a picture of an older version) I always just slip it over her head rather than mess with the release. I also feel that I need to take it off of her when I am not walking her because it seems too much for her to lug around. It is probably for the best, though as it is safer for the dog.

My dog was too much to handle on walks. He pulled terribly and lunged at other dogs, almost to the point where I didn’t want to walk him. After a day of using this collar on walks, he is pulling way less and not lunging at all. I put the collar on my arm and it isn’t painful- more of a little tug. We don’t jerk it - it’s mainly his own pulling that causes the collar to tighten. We only put it on him to walk him. It’s a little hard to Get on and off, but ok with practice. My 14yo son puts it on and walks him most days. We only have it on him for walks. Very happy with this training tool!

The collar was a little large so I removed 4 links, it works well.I don’t have to make much of a correction for my dog to respond.

I resisted getting this because I didn't like the idea of it, but I'm very glad I finally got it. I have a 94lb, one year old, Giant Schnauzer who would drag me every time I tried to walk him. I took him to 2 obedience classes and tried all the collars and harnesses they recommended to no avail. He's very smart, and did great with all the other obedience lessons, but leash walking was just too exciting for him. Now I can walk him!!! He doesn't get pinched unless he pulls and he's quickly figured out not to pull. He's improved so much that I can even take him for short walks with just his flat collar. This collar is exactly what I needed.
