Q: how do you fine out the size

I compare it to the size of a real diamondback. Since I live in FL, I have seen a few.

Q: Will it scare off squirrels?

It scares humans. Are squirrels smarter than humans?

Q: Will this fit in a mailbox?

Mine was in a box so I would not think so. Unless you have a larger mailbox? But even then with the rattle I would be afraid to request that they try .

Q: Can I move it to different positions like outstretched, coiled up, back and forth, etc...?

The custom paints and glazes painted by the artisan guarantee that no two decorative statues are exactly the same. Each piece is unique and made from Polyresin and the style and position is what you see in the picture. The figurine does not have the ability to move into different positions.
