Difficult to use.
I love the concept of the lap frame but I'm having a difficult time tightening the knobs so the frame doesn't stay at the height and level I want it to. If you have any suggestions on what I can do, please let me know.

this is a nice little portable cross stitch stand. It works fine for doing small cross stitch projects. It's light weight and nice finish on the wood. For the price it is worth it.,

Woman with stroke
I bought this for a woman that I care for who had a stroke 2 years ago and is paralyzed on her right side. She's been depressed since her stroke because her passion was cross stitching and could no longer do it. Luckily she's left-handed and her stroke affected her right side, this is perfect because it holds her cross stitching for her. Her stroke took away a lot but it's not going to take away her love for cross stitching thanks to this

I think the hoop part should be done differently. If you need to adjust the hoop for any reason it comes unscrewed and falls off.

I thought I would love it
I like this set up, able to cross stitch using both hands, BUT, I can't get the wooden screw to tighten enough and hoop and stand slip after a bit. I wonder how I can make wooden screw grab better. Anyone?Edit to change to 1 star, the stand is useless if the wooden screws can’t tighten. The screws don’t hold. How do others give better review if stand doesn’t do what it is suppose to do? I see it’s no longer available…that’s good. Save your money.

Wish I had known you cannot change the hoop.
I purchased this product to help me woth my hand emroidery, it came exactly as pictured. However it would be mpre helpful if you could remove the hoop and attach any sized hoop. I have not used it a lot because i find i am more comfortable in different sitting psotions but otherwise it is a decent product, true to image and good quality.
