A revelation
So far this has been amazing. So I've had a weak signal spot in my house for so long and as more devices enter the house, it has gotten more noticeably worse. Now in this weak spot is where I have my 'gaming setup' and you will know how frustrating it can be and how mad some can get over 'lag' and all sorts. Hence why I bought this and i can say it has been a revelation. It has been a great tool to not only boost the signal strength but also boost the speed too. I plugged it in right next to my computer and it says it has a good connection and only sometimes it will glow orange. It was an overall easy setup. There is multiple different ways to set it up and I took the website way and it was a little confusing but I understood it. I just plugged it in and then got my ethernet and plugged it into the adapter and into my computer (ethernet cables not included). It works great. I've not really had any issues with this so far and I don't think it's ever been close to as bad as before. I've seen massive improvements and I love it. The build looks nice too and gives a modern feel and I like it also. It doesn't produce any noise from what I can hear for people worried about that. Definitely recommend.

Easy configured.
Am not sure if this is a compatibility issue with my main router. I had no problems configuring the extender using all 3 methods, WPS, web page or Mercury's app however once configured my main router would drop WiFi and need a restart only to drop WiFi again unless I unplugged the extender. I tried all kinds of configs I tried renaming extended WiFi, positioning, Quick setup & manual same result. Just couldn't get my head round it. I searched online and found a similar problem with a different brand experiencing same issue, no resolution. Maybe just doesn't like my brand of router such as security settings does not like extenders but found nothing configurable. Couldn't use so had to return unfortunately after ensuring was factory reset. If it worked would have put 5 stars, but as feel maybe the product is not at fault chose 4 stars to be fair as there are other successful reviews. I'll investigate further my router is Huawei which normally do not have issues but it is 4g/5g rather than cabled so maybe it's down to that.

Good product. Works well and good value.
Easy to set up and works well, providing a WiFi signal to a dead spot upstairs in my house. It provides a WiFi connection on the same broadband connection and password as my normal connection but with ‘_EXT’ added to the connection name. It automatically transfers between one connection and the other and is much cheaper than other systems and, by comparison, very good value.

Does the job, with one quibble
I bought this to extend the Mesh network I already had to a corner of the house, which had a poor signal.Setup was straightforward and quick and I soon was getting 100Mbps on Speedtest, so no issues there. One thing that I am struggling with is that the network on the extender is separate to the main one and so has to be specifically connected to.With an older, slower extender I could name the network the same as the main one, which meant connection was seamless. Not a big issue and performance seems as good as I hoped.

You can get stuck in a 'password not accepted loop' where the device is basically bricked.
Unfortunately, A complete disaster...While this seemed like an ideal solution, I've spend hours of frustrated time trying to get it to work. The extender rapidly found my gigabit WiFi after a few tries and it was able to flash the 'connected light' and the extender WiFi option was able to be discoverable on my home wifi set-up. After that, there was absolutely no way to log into it... the password that we use for the wifi (although the instructions claim it to use the same password) was not accepted. Tried repeatedly to pair and re-pair and always the same answer: password invalid. Tried to access to website to configure the router manually and it dead-ends as the website no longer live. Tried to log into the browser via the same instructions and same result - not possible to access from multiple devices and using different WiFi (phone, laptop etc).As a last ditch attempt: downloaded the app, created an account and filled in all the details - the router is discoverable, but the usual password is not accepted. I see from going online people are more recently having the same problem. After a few hours of trying to find ways to change the password (you require the original password - which is simply not accepted - to change the password) and several cycles of resetting and ending up in the same situation, I'll save my sanity and return this and select a different brand. Overall frustrating few hours that resulted in finally giving up.
