BICASTER Magnetic Arrow Rest Aluminum Alloy Adjustable Backside Archery Rest for Recurve Bow Barebow

My competition bow stays at the range, but I wanted a home bow for just backyard plunking so I didn't want to spend a lot on it. The BICASTER Magnetic Arrow Rest looks very much like the much more expensive rest on my other bow, but costs much less...and it turns out that it works every bit as well. I'm totally sold.

For the price, you can’t beat it. All the adjustments you need and when properly set up, it is quiet. Wire could be more heavy duty but overall a good, solid and adjustable flipper rest.

Strong wire to withstand bare bow pressures. Adjusts fairly easily and remains set.

The rest fit well and works great. The wire is easy to adjust and tune to your arrow size. I pared it with the bicaster plunger and after about 20 minutes of tuning started grouping well and dead center. I shot several different arrows off of the rest and all came off great (carbon, aluminum, plastic vanes and feathers)

Would be great IF it retained position, unfortunately, the smallest screw, adjusting angle of the arm, is too tiny to tighten

This seems to be durable made of aluminum not plastic like others and easy to install. I like the adjustabilty works great and helped improve my accuracy.

I shoot a lot of arrows every week and decided to try this rest to create more space near the riser. This rest does that quite well. I subtracted a star because the arrow rest arrives without instructions for how to set it up. Up/down and in/out are obvious but there is no indication what the extra adjustment screw is for. It adjusts how strong the magnetic will affect the wire. If you aren't familiar with these types of designs it can be confusing. There is a small amount of up down play in the wire even with everything clamped down tightly. Installation and setup instructions would have been nice.

The fit and finish of the rest is great. It's made with good materials and all the tools and machining seems very high quality. There are no instructions but after you find a rest setup article or video it's quite clear how to adjust things as needed.Some notes: the top silver screw that adjusts the strength of the magnet is fairly loose. A small piece of pipe thread tape works well to keep it snug. Also make sure to tighten the main bolt the holds the whole rest on the bow. both the magnet screw and main bolt worked loose after a hundred shots.
