I bought three of these for my winter wedding bridesmaids.The shawls are a nice shade of grey (as pictured), are soft and should be warm. They feel thick and heavy, and the short time I tried one on for, it warmed up nicely and kept the heat in. They look and feel of good quality, and for the price I am happy with them.Although they aren’t huge, they are big enough to cover shoulders and upper arms and they seem as though they will be insulating if wrapped tight. They come with hook fastenings which secure the shawls to sit low across shoulders, and there is also a large safety pin included, so the shawl can be secured tighter. We might wear some sparkly broaches, but this is not necessary to secure the shawl in place as the safety pin and hook fastenings are enough.The shawls are rectangular and don’t have any shaping, but this is fine for wrapping round and it looks nice if fastened in the right place. They could be a little wider for additional coverage, but then they would risk being too bulky.Overall, I recommend these for special occasions on colder days, but for decorative purposes or only short periods of time outside. They will look great in photos and keep bridesmaids warm for the short walk between the church and reception venue, but don’t cover enough to be warm for longer periods of time outside.
