Lets cut the bullhonkey here, how many of these reviews are paid for or just given 5 stars to bump the ratings? I liked the information and it was the required text for the class, although not having read the previous editions I can't verify whether or not the other books use the exact same information or not (but I seriously doubt these guys rewrite the entire book over again). HOWEVER, my issue is with the fact that this damn book costs 113$ to buy on the kindle, but you can buy a damn paper back version for 44$ and even if it were coming from freaking Australia I doubt shipping would be 70$ which would then make them the same price. If the manufacturing costs are slashed by digital format why is it still as expensive, if not more expensive as what I can buy in my schools bookstore. (MSUM: Minnesota State University of Moorhead). Bullhonkey, straight bloody bullhonkey. If you like this and agree with it, spread this message to your friends and family.

A book for class book.

Professor Myers has written another excellent text book. This was a required text for a course, but it was a pleasure to read and I know I will refer to it often in the future. The latest edition has many updates and current references. It covers all the topics you would expect in a book on the topic (aggression, helping, persuasion, cognitive errors, etc.) and a few additional chapters (social psychology in the clinic & the court, the sustainable future) that are not so typical. The layout of the book makes it easy to read and easy to reference. If you are using the book for study, the accompanying website has lots of extras to test your knowledge.

I really like this book. I need it for my class, and it’s really nice even though it has some written words in it. It’s still a really decent book.

I had to buy this intro level Social Pysch class. Its a very easy read. At times, like any text book ,its boring but overall Myers is very clear and extremely well organized. The book is up to date which is some what helpful to link recent events and social psych however I don't think he needs to update this as often as he does. You can stop making money at this point. Book is too expensive for broke college students.

This textbook holds up, but is very obviously used. The book comes with shabby spines and well worn pages. Shouldn't be an issue though because nobody judges you for the quality (or even really sees) of your textbooks in college.

I felt this book has been instrumental in my ability to retain the information in any easy and concise manner for my class lectures. I haven't had an issue with this book yet. The information is discussed in the beginning of each chapter and then gone over in depth followed finally by a recap page leading into the next chapter.

Probably the best text I've had since I ever was a student. It was clear. So many books are too lengthy because the are so repetitive, run amok in many cases. It covered the various necessary areas completely, very nicely with examples.Marlene Gabaldon ID 80807, Ottawa University, Phoenix, Az.

This is an excellent book. The chapters are very well constructed and it has a really 'easy read' feel whilst still enabling me to study at a level for my Masters
