I'm speechless. I feel like I've been missing something my whole life since I read Heart Of A Monster by Shain Rose.You just can't look anywhere else as soon as you start reading the first pages of this book. This is one of the most explosive and addictive stories I've read this year.Shain Rose will take you to the ride of your life with the love story of the formidable enforcer Rome and the fiercest Katalina. Two broken characters that have to learn to fight with teeth and nails to stay alive and fit in the world they live in. But it's not going to be an easy journey for them. There are secrets to uncover and enemies to destroy but most importantly, they'll have to choose between love and family.Heart of A Monster is a well written story with an exquisite character development, very addictive plot and the perfect rollercoaster of emotions to keep you at the edge your seat from beginning to end.I will definitely recommend this book to anyone who wants to try a very unique mafia romance.

This duet took me a long time to read. It was dark, intense, and sometimes confusing. But I wanted to push through to the end because of the characters. I loved the characters. You first meet Kate and Rome as friends of the main character in the Stonewood Brothers series. You could tell that there was something more between them and I am glad that we get to know the full backstory and their eventual HEA in their own standalone duet. Their story is complex and needed two parts. It is a slow burn and very angsty. There is a HEA, but after much heartbreak and trauma. I had to take breaks and read other lighter works while getting through this duet. It was worth the effort in the end though.

Omg! That ending tied up everything for me, I was so consumed by them that I lost track of the impact she had on everyone. Her father is right, she I meant for bigger things and no one can stop her from getting that and fighting for herself.Her Monster. He is her reflection, their darkness call to each other and when they are together there are mini explosions. They know that if they ever give in then it will end up in an explosion. No doubt they'd be powerful, lethal, rough, explosive, dark, and enchanting. Family may be second and her first. Something she isn't willing to give up.This story is dark and full of chaos. The biggest secret finally came out and it can be the demise of them all, life changing. The monster was brought to his knees in the worst way possible. Collateral damage.

I listened on audible too. I think the narrators ruined it for me. The story was good. Parts of it were frustrating. Especially Rome and Kati’s indecisiveness. Plus Rome kept saying “I don’t care about her at all.”

I loved this book! I could not but this book down! The banter between Rome and Kate was great! Kate is an independent bad ass woman that does what she wants. Rome and Kate are perfect together! Loved this storyline! I did not see the plot twist coming! This book is an emotional roller coaster! I love getting to see sone characters from the Stonewood Brothers books!Favorite Quote : “Like she’s your heaven and your hell. A dream and a nightmare all wrapped up in one tiny little warrior.”

Having a loving father that put love over pride and never settling is stark contrast for the life that Katalina’s chose to occupy to keep her father comfortable in his last days…What price is too much…Will Katalina ever find the families she longs for…

Who knew that Katie should be the head of the Russian mob how will everything end when she goes back to her real family and leaves the one that she has been with for so long can't wait to read her story

Must read this book, so intense, so good.

This book really did a number on me. Please if you get triggers by sexual assault , murder, suïcide and grooming then I would suggest not to read this book. Don’t get me wrong, it was an amazing experience to read this, but it is the heaviest book shain rose has written till now.
