Love all the Claus Porto shave creams. This is the best scent yet!

I really like the smell and don’t think it’s too strong. It doesn’t seem to lather/coat the face as well as Proraso does and I feel like I apply and apply when getting started.

The same great Musgo lather I'm used to, the scent reminds me of their old lavender a bit, but it's very pleasant and mild.

Based on one of the other reviews, I hoped the fragrance would be minimal intensity. The Black Edition fragrance is powerful in a bad way unless you do not mind cologne or perfume. I'm wondering if Black Edition is very similar to the product from La Labo. Other reviews said the Classic version has even an stronger fragrance (something like Brut) so I skipped the classic product. Maybe Classic is not so bad but I would have to get a sample to test.It would be great if Claus Porto offered the same formula except with zero fragrance/perfume (an unscented version). I would also prefer no denatured alcohol in the formula if possible.Black EditionPros:- good cutting performance, as good as or better than Proraso green (menthol, eucalyptus)- has mostly natural ingredients compared to chemical additives in many other productsCons:- over powering fragrance while lathered on face- fragrance does not rinse off and causes me nausea- after washing face with water, the residual fragrance is different than while lathered and more bothersome to meI would go back to Proraso except all Proraso versions have aluminum compounds mixed with otherwise good ingredients.Looking for better options out there.

Being a huge fan of the Musgo Real classic cream, I thought I'd give this one a shot. This is not a BAD shaving cream by any measure but compared to the classic Musgo Real this one disappoints:- if you are after the bold scent that their other product(s) tend to have, this one is almost scent-free by comparison.- not anywhere near the foaming or moisturizing properties of the green classic one; takes a lot more product to do the same job and the foam is never as good. the classic also makes the razor glide suepr effortlessly -- this one does not.Not a bad product but simply has little in common with their other classic; could have been from a different company altogether.
