how strong are the clips?

I have only had my 2 pair for a few weeks and the clips are very strong they have been great. I am just short of 6 feet tall and weigh a delicate 265 lbs with a 46 inch waist and the suspenders hold up my slacks or shorts through any activity with no problem. The wide straps are also very comfortable.

Will they work for a 3x waste
