Orbit DripMaster 69750 Hose Bib Anti-Siphon Valve

I needed these to satisfy a home inspection as our city now requires them on all hose bibs. How water from your hose would work its way back through a pressured city water system is beyond me, but regardless, they are required. I wanted to give these things a chance since they are simply a screw on product and wouldn't really be all that different from hooking up to a normal hose bib if it weren't for the fact that they spit water ALL OVER YOU when you turn the water off. Very irritating. Needless to say, they have since been removed. I'm sure this product is a quality one amongst anti-siphoning valves as they may go, so that is why I rated it a reasonable 3 stars, but the overall workings of such a product is annoying, which is not the fault of simply one mfg.

Great part and great servce

I was hoping this adapter was going to resolve the "spewing" issue i have been having at the bib. It didn't work. It's still spewing....

I'm more than pleased with this product. It does the job for which it is intended. I use it to clean my RV's septic and I don't have to worry about backwash into my water system.

they break in half very very easy

Well, it works. It doesn't come with it's own washers -- make sure you have some on hand. Otherwise, it's great.

Did not work the first time I attempted to use it. It prevented proper flow when it should have allowed it. Threw it in the trash

This is a good product when it works. Initially it seemed to work without any problems, now when I use this valve my faucet leaks from the top, without the valve there is no leak.
