USS Enterprise (CVN-65): The First Nuclear Powered Aircraft Carrier

I spent three years and made two cruises on the big E, but my two cruise annuals actually contain only a very brief life history of the ship. This book contains everything I would hope.

The book is well-written, but the supplier did not package it adequately, especially for a $50 book. It should be in a protective slipsheet and be prevented from bending since it's a softcover publication. My husband was a CVAN65 plankowner and is in the acknowledgements. Mr. Evans did an outstanding job, with documentation. This book is a vital narrative of American naval history. It's a treasure for any family interested in the US Navy for any reason or no reason at all. "We Are Legend!"

Good history of the ship

The book is written fantastic, the stories from the actual sailors just pushes the book right along. It’s had to put it down and go to bed
