Left to Fear (An Adele Sharp Mystery—Book Ten) Paperback – July 28, 2021

A great story, a good plot, many interesting characters, and a difficult task in finding who and why there is a killer targeting young heiresses in cruise boats along the Danube. Adele and John go through some funny events and difficult and threatening ones to find the culprit. John is, as always, the best and the worst partner for Adeledoing exactly what he wants and not what would be best. There's also the intertwining with the Spade killer who happens to be in the same area as the boat killer is acting and there are some very interesting developments in trying to capture him. A good plot, well written, where other sides of Adele's, her father's, and John's characters are shown.I couldn't stop reading to learn who were the culprits and how the story would end. Looking forward to the next books in the series. Really entertaining!

It was a really good book that kept you into it until the very end but then you can’t wait for the next book to come out so you can keep following her!!!

In this outing the writer has the readers on a river boat in Germany...someone is murdering young women who also happen to be heiresses. 3 have all ready been murdered and Agent Adele Sharpe is determined there won't be a fourth. And although her partner John Renee, hates being on the water, he goes with her.The readers get to enjoy a second plot....Adele is still searching for the man who murdered her mother. The author has skillfully woven the two stories together. Her father has been attacked by the same killer...does he survive? You will have to read the book to find out!I am part of the advanced team but the opinion is my own and I LOVE this series. I am so looking forward to the next book in the series. Mr. Pierce is an extremely prolific writer so I am sure we won't have a long wait, I highly recommend this series!!

This book was intense! I’ve enjoyed this entire series but you get more of a look at the spade killer and how he thinks. Plus more on how NO ONE notices him. What I loved with this book is how the spade killer sees a scene unfolding in front of him but doesn’t realize WHO it involves. The main serial killer in this one though had me turned around on how he was getting on board and how he was finding his victims. This book was truly one of my favorites! Adele’s dad is involved more in this one too which if you’ve read the other books, he’s caught the interest of someone NO ONE wants interested in them. I highly recommend this book and the Adele Sharp series

Another good read! Though I must say that I am more invested in Adele’s story than that of the current crime. I am on the edge of my seat awaiting to see the outcome of the killer that murdered her mom and Robert. And I am so happy with the outcome of her fathers encounter with him. I would have given 5 stars if not for the editing issues I continue to see.

This is a pretty good series. Love the relationship between Adele, her father, and John. Cannot wait to see what the next book in this series brings. Well worth the read.
