Stop - don't buy, waste of money!
Very poor system, don't waste your money! If cameras are more than 200 feet away from base the receiver hardly picks them up. As time went on, the receiver quit receiving all cameras. To fix it I had to unplug all of the cameras and the receiver, wait a fair amount of time, then plug them all in again. This was an almost daily situation not to mention they all went out when they were needed the most (when no one was there to reset them). The extending antenna did nothing to help (found that out after I purchased 3 of them in addition to the system). No instructions on how to change many of the features or how to operate the remote. Company assistance is out of Hong Kong so time and language barrier added to the frustration of spending lots of money on a system that did not work correctly. Again, don't buy Corsee!

we've had problems with screen dropping but are finding out it's out wifi and internet causing most of the problems. one complaint we have it this company is not USA based so you won't get good help since they don't speak good English .

HAD lots of potentials but lack instructions/support to fully maximize application. Phone app not so reliable after a while.
-Hardware-Pros: Well built cameras, I will update more of this after it goes through 1 season of Colorado's winter. The color night vision is great. The color is as good as day. The WiFi reception is good for my home setup but it can vary significantly from one application to another. The video is only jerky occasionally but most of the time is smooth. It will never be perfect for a WiFi system. Of course, the best method is to use a cat5 cable connected directly from the camera to the NVR but this system is only designed for WiFi connection.Cons: The VGA and HDMI output only supports a monitor, not a big TV. I did try to connect it to my 40" TV and it will not display anything. Some of the specifications are misleading because it states that you can connect to a TV but it does not specify the maximum resolution. The internal graphics card does not seem to support high resolution displays. This comes to the point of the purpose of the remote control itself because you can only connect a monitor to it and will probably be sitting in front of it and using the mouse to navigate through the app and it is faster using the mouse. This means you really don't need the remote control most of the time except when you need to perform a USB backup.- Software -Pros: The NVR connects to the cameras automatically within 1 minute after the camera is plugged into a wall outlet. You can access the NVR through the web browser if your device (PC, laptop or tablet) is connected to the same network by entering the IP address assigned to the NVR. You can also install the desktop app that comes with the package (CMS software), run the p2p.corsee.com server based app (connection from anywhere in the world) or install the app on your smartphone. From my experience, the app on the phone is the best option because it lags the least. You can perform a playback on any cameras with the smartphone too.Cons: 1. The FTP backup does not work as advertised. I have contacted customer support about it and concurred that it has some problems. You can setup the FTP and it will push *.DAT file formats to the FTP server as scheduled. However, there is no software to convert these files to *.flv or *.avi format. Therefore, the files are not view-able. Maybe they will fix the bugs and release a software in the future. 2. There seem to be a random bug in the Corsee smartphone app. After a snapshot is taken from the camera, it stores the pictures within the app (no access of it through your Gallery). Sometimes, you can't delete the pictures you have taken in the app. I had to exit the app, idle for a while and then get back in the Corsee app to delete the pictures (UPDATE 12/19/2016 - This bug seems to be fixed). 3. The other bug I found is that when you are viewing only one channel on your smartphone and set the Stream from SD to HD, then the video switches to camera 1 if you are viewing cameras 2, 3 or 4. Once you go back to view all 4 cameras at the same time, the camera that had the Stream set from SD to HD is now showing camera 1. So, you're now you have two screens showing camera 1. You have back up one level in the app and come in back to see all 4 cameras again (UPDATE 12/19/2016 - This bug seems to be fixed). I'm sure there are still some other bugs in the app but as far as basic viewing of all cameras and playback, it works just fine. Occasionally, the smartphone and p2p.corsee.com apps cannot display any of the cameras however it works fine if your device is on the same network by connecting directly using the IP address. I had to power cycle the NVR to resolve the issue. The reliability of the system is now starting to be questionable.- Support -Pros: Most of the basic setup is self explanatory. You do not need to be a tech savvy to get the system up and running.Cons: There are plenty of settings you can change using the desktop application (in the CD) but there is not much instruction on how to capitalize the potential of the system. The basic instructions are written is somewhat broken English but if you bring your level down to a Kindergarten trying to explain it to you, it will all make sense. If you are a potential buyer of this system, just be aware that the system is made in China (what is not today) and the customer support is in China. That may change in the future. They sent me information to contact them on WhatsApp and Skype but I get no response back. The only method of communication so far with customer support is through email. If your system is DOA (Dead on Arrival), then at least you can still return it to Amazon for a refund.I will update more when I get more time with the system. Overall so far it is an acceptable system. Hopefully, software upgrades and bug fixes will come soon and then I may add more stars to this review.Update 10/4/2016: Phone App is buggy. Tried to start app using my corsee account but claimed that I have a network error. My home internet connection works just fine and 4GLTE connection on my phone is working. I can connect to the NVR from my laptop just fine. The trial setting on the phone app works fine too since I am connecting directly to the NVR via IP address. What the app really meant is that their server is down and not able to establish connection to the server. I have dropped the star rating from 3 to 2 as the system is getting more unreliable. It can get quite cryptic to try to debug the system as the English is of elementary grade. What it states does not necessary represents what is meant.Update 11/3/2016: Occasionally, one of the four cameras would lose connection to the NVR. It happens about once every 1-2 weeks. I have to power cycle the cameras by resetting the GFCI outlet it is connected to. I haven't been able to get the FTP backup to work yet. The other method to backup the videos to your PC through your wireless network is by using the CMS software. However, it cannot automatically backup at a preset time. It has to be done manually.Update 12/17/2016: Phone app occasionally still have issues connecting to Corsee's server. I'm still having occasional issues with one of the cameras losing connection to the NVR. Now, one camera that has been placed indoor since I bought the system has malfunctioned. It will no longer automatically connect to the NVR via wireless when I power cycle the camera. I have to match the camera's code to the NVR every single time after I unplugged the camera. I have contacted Corsee's customer support and they worked me through by updating the firmware of the camera but the problem still persist. I also just found out that my IR remote control is no longer working. Corsee told me that the warranty on the system is only 3 months but willing to send me a new camera. Buyer, please be aware of the warranty. I'm satisfied with the customer support but the system is still quite buggy.
