Don’t know about UV, but the finish was more like grout and I was disappointed.

is this waterproof for use in a shower?

I would think so. I have used on my floors multiple times and seems to hold up. However, it doesn't get water on it daily. It's inexpensive and it works:)

Can this be used out door?

Yes, I used it to repair “cantera rock” and it looks like nothing happened before. Just make sure when you are doing the repairs outside it is a sunny day to give it enough time to dry and harden.
