Q: Do the pins peel after use?

No. I have not had them to peel. They are a good hair pin and very sturdy. I recommend them because I have not had any problem and they have been a good investment for me. Hope you enjoy.

Q: Will they rust if left in the shower?

I have never left my Hair Pins in the shower, however; the manufacturer says they are made of a rubber material, which I believe is true. They are not thin like the original silver pins from the 50's and 60's. They hold my hair very well and I like them and recommend them. They are a good product
