The Zoom H6 is really as good as described. I haven't been disappointed in the quality of this product.I love you can record a backup audio file at the same time at -12db less than the original recording in case you have the input volume set to high. Finally the engineers designed something for practical use, thank you!I also bought the following:1. Accessory pack (APH-6) - This includes: 1. Remote "wired" remote control - 2. What is your use that matters. The product has high quality...use it carefully and get a good idea about accessories.

I bought this product awhile ago as I was going to do some podcasting. When I did I also bought some other equipment that I ended up using instead. -- It sat unboxed and sealed as new until I finally got around to opening it to try recording a cast with a buddy. Problem? Doesn't turn on! Batteries? nope! AC? nope! Follow all troubleshooting steps and online suggestions? Nope! Nothing works. -- Going to try and see if I can get this resolved. -- If so, I'll let you know. But BUYER BEWARE!!!! Open the item ASAP and check that it works. My situation is evidence that brand new untouched units may be broken in the box. :(

Excellent for location recording. Just finished shooting dozens of interviews for a documentary and it performed flawlessly. The only flaw is a weakness as an audio interface. Audio seemed kinda rough. So I just recorded to the SD card and transferred it over to my Mac laptop. Worked like a champ!
