This is a pretty decent stand with lots of features for the price. There are better more heavy duty stands out there but very few of any with as many feature for the price. I would say the stand is light to medium duty. The main feature that sets it apart from other light to medium duty stands is the toothless tilter.I feel this stand represents a good balance between value, features, and quality.

I have one of these holding up my 14x14 floor tom while sporting a 20 inch ride with ease. I crash on the ride hard as well and it holds solid. Same with the floor tom it holds up. Didn't even have to angle the foot under the tom like with most lightweight stands.

It's a very nice medium light weight stand! Made very well! Less weight makes it easier to carry or lug around! It holds my 20inch China type fine! Life time guaranty! Good Deal If You like lighter stands! O.K

This is by no means a heavy duty stand.Would not recommend booming heavier cymbals. Would not recommend mounting a heavy tom on them.As straight stands they're great for any cymbals, as booms they are great for lighter cymbals.

Pearl has made an excellent quality stand at a reasonable price. It is a great match to the CenterStage kit that I bought at the same time for my first set of drums. I had owned a Pearl snare stand for a few years and it also is of sturdy build and a fine finish on the hardware and rubber parts.

I have purchased several of these for added cymbals and accessories and they are great. Heavy, good quality, great price. I've had no problems with any of them and I tear down and set up a lot.
