A Great Tool
Such a simple tool to help with a difficult task.

A toy not a tool!
It might be made of high-quality materials; I don't know but the quality of machining is marginal at best. It is more of a toy than a tool because of this.

inexpensive and functional

I bought this thinking it would line up the holes I drill into 3/4" wood dowels. Unfortunately the tool contacts the table before it can measure the wood. it still requires you to eyeball the mark with your drill bit. Some room for error. But still a descent product.

They didn't use their own tool
If they used this device to make more of these devices then all would be fine, but the drilled pivot hole is 1/8" off center. On second thought, maybe they did use their own tool and thus the bad quality.

Cheaply made, not very accurate.
The markings dictating the centre on this tool are off and therefore it isn't difficult to trust in its accuracy. Quite cheaply made which I suppose is reflected in the price, but it may help you out as a short term fix.
