Just plain worthless.
For less than $20 I thought this was a great deal for those times when I wanted to patch in an input to the soundboard but was running short of channels to put it in. Wrong! The other review I see here listed the main problem I found, much distortion on the inputs. I haven't opened it up yet but it sounds for all the world like the darn thing is trying to amplify the inputs BEFORE they are mixed into the output channel. The only thing I can recommend this for is electric guitars. The more you distort a good strat, the better it sounds. Unfortunately the other person reviewing this product posted his review just a couple of days too late for me to see it before buying this thing.

Great karaoke cheap mic mixer. Go ahead plug in your Shure then you are 'CRAZY'!
Purchased this for about $15 from Amazon and shipped via their Prime service. It just arrived this afternoon. I was aware of all the negative reviews before I made purchase. Now I do have some different (which means positive) opinions and feedback.I have several different level microphones from $10 to more than a hundred, after plug in and tried different combinations I found one thing for sure: It's NOT designed for any kind of recording. On the other hand, this doesn't make it a bad product. It is a PERFECT budget microphone mixer for a entry level karaoke setup.Let's make it short, short is good!Pros:1. Cheapest mixer you could only imagine. It takes 10 bucks less before.2. Loud enough for sure, volume worry free.3. The cheaper the microphone you plug in, the better sound you get.4. A LOT of warm distortions mixed with all inputs.5. Sturdy made. Hopefully last for years.6. Independent signal control.Cons:1. Any Hi-def mics with detailed but unamped signal WILL hurt on this thing. Shure is the worst among all, feels like get killed. (The primary reason that people gave this one star ratings. )2. Distortions are out of control. Pretty much the same thing, with any mics that worth more than $20 you will be disappointed. Another thing to add is that don't use it for any recording mixing purposes. It's a low level mic mixer for even cheaper mics.3. Background buzz. Because of where I live, and its non isolated structure. I kept hearing the Buzzing sound from the background. Karaoke is fine, for recording no.4. 9V battery/12V DC driven, but none included. I used to make amps myself so I have many 9 volts, not a problem for me tho.5. It doesn't serve as a pre-amp. Was I just started to be non-sense?6. It doesn't print money. (Well~)Overall, what you paid is what you get. For cheap karaoke settings, this is great. I actually tried to sing, much easier, even beginners can sound like a pro. (of course, with some mics that a real pro will never touch.) If you only have/use things like Shure, just go elsewhere and get one with pre-amps.I personally got what I want, a cheap karaoke setting. Talking about its purpose of design, it deserves nothing less than a three to four star of rating. It has some flaws but I figured them out with my cheap mics, so four star as a fair rating. Good luck!

Not stereo, seems poorly built
I bought this specifically looking for a stereo mixer and despite the description, which states that it is, I only get mono output from it. Also, the description is misleading in that it makes it sound like it comes with an external power supply. It doesn't.Finally, the individual gains seem to quickly introduce distortion into the signal. If I keep them low and just turn up the master, I get decent output, but the whole point of getting this was for individual control, and I'm not really happy about losing 75% of precision for that.By the way, none of this is Amazon's or the dealer's fault. The poor description comes right off the box; they just copied it.

Broke when I put the battery in
The 9V Lead cable wasn't soldiered properly onto the PCB. I have been meaning to open it up but don't have the time or patience.
