I breed Mystery snails and always have to worry about them getting sucked up into the filter. This totally prevents that. One of the things I really like is the performance. I also like the green color. It helps me easily see when the filters are dirty. I would definitely recommend this to anyone with snails, frogs, small shrimp, etc in their tanks.

I opened this and these little brown disgusting things WENT EVERYWHERE. What are they? The box had like 100 of them loose inside and pressed into the box (see pics) I'm returning this, I'd also like to know what this is now that it's been scattered all over my living room. The filter I ordered was smaller and black.

The sponge has changed color so I know it's doing something but floating debris is not attracted to it, nothing is sectioned to the sponge.

I did not like the foam on the outside and the craw fish tore some it up, it was ok but not the greatest,I switched to the under gravel system.
