It gets the job done for half price, filters bad air. At this price you can replace it twice as often and in that scenario I think you come out ahead over the OEM filter kit.

Cheaper than Rabbit Air filters and so far just as good at 1/2 the price!

I always wondered why a competent manufacturer couldn't create consumables (such as air filters) that are indistinguishable from the branded version, but usually there are problems with fit, quality, durability and endless other issues that make the true savings questionable. In this case, Climestar has created a filter kit that is nearly indistinguishable from the OEM version with the sole area of disappointment being the carbon filter. First and foremost, I noticed that the carbon filter has a type of felt around the edges, seemingly to ensure a better seal, but the OEM model has smooth edges and snaps in perfectly, likely from better tolerances in the manufacturing. But there were two immediate differences noticeable. First, the weight of the Climestar seems normal until you pick up the OEM carbon filter, which is substantially heavier = much more carbon. Furthermore, the bragged about "honeycomb" pattern which allegedly holds more carbon over a better distributed area appeared very much lacking when held up to the light. There are gaps created all around the filled "honeycomb" circles leaving a large amount of gaps where air doesn't hit the carbon. On the OEM filter with the "square" pattern, the squares are actually filled so tightly that there is far less light visible when this part is held up to a light. Where the square pattern gets it's bad "name" is from the clones that DON'T fill up these square, but in the end do exactly what Climestar is doing: trying to save money on the expensive activated carbon. I'd gladly pay an extra $5 or so just to have a completely filled carbon stage which would then make the Climestar a no brainer replacement. But it's just not there now.

I do not have anything to measure the effectiveness of this but at a large discount in price from the manufacturer I am happy. Just ordered another for the other Rabbit A1 Minus that I have on the other side of house as I have 3 medium dogs and an electric Jen-Air grill/ stove that I love to use.

I typically buy the real deal OEM - i believe in the concept of: good, fast, cheap - pick 2. In other words if it fast and cheap.... probably not good. If it is fast and good... not going to be cheap. But for 1/2 thee price of OEM Rabbit - I decided to give it a try. So far I am pleased.

Great after market filter for Rabbit A2. I had no issues installing or any of the filters seating with an offset. Would by again.

Each filter is labeled for easy installation. They fit perfectly into the appliance. So far, they are working perfectly.
