Product Description Sure to become a classic animated movie that brings the teachings of Jesus to life for today’s families through the story of five misfit animals on a journey towards love and forgiveness. Our hero, Jericho, is a vagabond street dog who befriends Jesus and follows him throughout the last week of his life through the resurrection. After Jesus’ arrest at Gethsemane, Jericho rallies an epic charge of animal friends to try to save Jesus from his fate. Review This is a warm and nice story and every family member can enjoy this DVD. We happily award our Dove Family-Approved; Seal to this DVD. It is terrific! --The Dove Foundation

Christian Animation
This animated feature does indeed feature Jesus Christ in a prominent role, but At Jesus’ Side is more about the group of animal friends, who happen to be, well…at his side at times. In essence, the movie offers a look at the final days of Jesus from the perspective of a street dog he befriends. This allows us to be taken inside some of the events from Jesus’ life, but also have a main narrative that can leave that path when needed. I do think the movie extols the values Christian viewers will appreciate, but if you’re here just for the Jesus moments, you might let down, as he isn’t around all that much. His appearances are in pivotal moments and he does impact the animals’ narrative, but the animals are just passing through, rather than enmeshed into Jesus’ life at this time. But I still think this will appeal to those looking for faith driven, family friendly content for younger viewers, even if At Jesus’ Side lacks the depth and polish of theatrical level animated features. It's alright
There are many contradictions when comparing to what the bible really presents. LIke Jesus saying that his body is no more after his resurrection. That isn't true he resurrected in flesh and blood but little things like that can confuse viewers. Or when giving a faulty comment about the animal sacrifices that are done by the jews. Seems like a movie a group of people just wanted to randomly put together with a kid like imagination for entertainment. Things are not clearly explained about Jesus's purpose cause I guess the movie more focused on the dog's will to stop hating and to forgive.

Pleasantly surprised at the way this reached my son.
My son (8) & I watched this at home & we were both pleasantly surprised to hear that the main character-dog is named Jericho because that IS my son's name! We watched the entire movie, not leaving our couch once. It was wonderful to share the story of Jesus with him & see it from an animal's perspective too. My son is a dog person and so this movie really reached out to him on many levels, the Holy Spirit always has a good plan for us!

Slow for a 4-year-old
My daughter is 4 and although she enjoyed it, she grew restless with the length of the movie and the slowness of the story. Although Jesus is mentioned throughout the story, only the end is really about Him. Forgiveness is the theme of the movie. I just think it could have been done in a 45-60 minute video rather than the 90 it is. We'll watch it again next Easter and probably some time in between too. We preferred the Lion of Judah DVD for the kids ages (4 and 2).

BUY MORE THAN ONE! EVEN THE ADULTS WILL LOVE IT!
This is done SO VERY WELL!!! Bought the first one for my youngest granddaughter when she was 3 1/2. Since she loved it so much that she requested it almost exclusively every time she came over (which is three times a week!) When my other two granddaughters visited, and they watched it (ages 6 and 9) and they loved it equally, I purchased additional copies for friends, for a local Christian school and then another one for my 2 year old only grandson. Even at two he loves it.

Loved it!
I watched this animation 4 times, and I cried, at how loving our heavenly Saviour, was, and still is. HIS love for HIS creation caused HIM to go through what HE went through.Thank you, for such a wonderful reminder.

Letting go of hate and fear
This was an awesome movie for people to let go of the hate and fear in their life towards the enemies that mistreated them in the past.
