Helpful and thorough
This is another fine book from Dr Zaidi. He provides reasoning as to the causes of hypothyroidism and Hashimoto's Thyroiditis - as well as other conditions - and offers solutions. As a vegan, i disagree with the use of animal foods and other products discussed in the text, but Dr Zaidi provides alternatives to the medications he mentions. I also have doubts about his 'high carb' theory (given refined and unrefined carbs aren't the same).Despite these things, there is a wealth of useful information in the book, and i thank Dr Zaidi for passing on his knowledge!

Best book on hypothyroid I have ever read
Best book on hypothyroid I have ever read. Wish I had read this 20 years ago. Information I have not seen before wrote in a very easy straightforward way. After taking his advice to supplement VB12 and VD3 oral spray had almost immediate improvement in many conditions. Unbelievably much improvement in hearing loss which went 20 years ago. Also diet advice and recipies which I must try. Recommend.

Very Informative
I have Hypothyroid and wanted to be more informed. The book is very detailed and I plan to try some of the recipes. I will recommend the book to my Dr ! I gave it a 5 because it's easy to read ,understand and sounds sensible. It sounds like the Wheat Belly advice given in The William Davis book. I saw it interviewed on Dr Oz.

Highly recommended
This book is packed with useful information. For the first time, Icompletely understand how to interpret thyroid blood tests, what thepit-falls are with normal lab ranges, what thyroid hormones really areand how they work in our body. Now I understand what really causes Hashimoto's disease. Dr. Zaidi'sinsight into how stress causes autoimmune dysfunction is compelling. For the first time, I learned the connection between vitamin Ddeficiency, stress, diet and Hashimoto's. I am excited to discoverthat Hashimoto's can be cured. My other endocrinologists had told methat Hashimoto's cannot be cured. It is pretty clear that Dr. Zaidi isnot a usual endocrinologist. He is a true scientist and does notblindly follow the status quo.The book is very practical. I learned why T4 alone does not work andalso, in what ratio T3 and T4 should be used. I have started followingthe diet recommendations in the book, which are easy to follow. Itmakes so much sense. There is also a long list of recipes in the end.I am also following Dr. Zaidi's insight into the stress of dailyliving and how to be free of worries that we all suffer from. I findhis discovery about how fear causes autoimmune disorder thoughtprovoking. After reading this book, I got the in-depth knowledge and answers thatI have been searching for. I highly recommend this book to those whoare serious about understanding their illness.

Excellent book for patients and doctors!
Dear amazon and Dr Zaidi, please make this book available in print for doctors in Germany! You don't have to translate it but not everybody owns a Kindle. As a surgeon and recently diagnosed Hashimoto patient myself I found in this book what I need to know ... and what I don't find in other books or in the heads of many of my Hashimoto treating colleagues.Thank you, Sarfraz Zaidi! I was lucky to find this book shortly after being diagnosed with Hashimoto and am getting the perfect treatment ever since.
