Marvel 6 Inch Legends Astral Dr. Strange

In the movie, Dr. Strange is sent out of his body, and and into the Astral Plane.To accomplish this in the figure, they used the same body as the movie figure, but colored him with pearl white. There are actually some color variations in the white.This is not probably going to fall onto anyone's top 10 list of best figures, but it is still really well done. He comes with the necklace, and that is the only accessory he comes with. He has the magic hands, and no cape.This is one figure that will probably make it into people's collections just since they need the part to complete Dormammu. I would have skipped him too, but I also wanted to complete Dormammu.

I mounted this figure on a Bandai Hobby Figure-Rise Effect Aura Effect Building Kit, Blue. It looks great. Had to drill a small mounting hole in the crease of his belt. This puts the figure on his toes as if he is rising up. The necklace I super-glued in place around the collar. I got both items so cheap on Amazon. Great addition to my Dr.Strange collection.

There were two Dr. Strange figures done in the Benedict Cumberbatch design. One from Hasbro which is the version they made this all white "astal" figure from and the other one from Marvel Select. I bought the Marvel Select one and then have used this one in my display to show the astral effect of him coming out of the figure's body.

Not the best figure out there, but you need it to complete Dormammu. It will not be in my top figures. It is Dr. Strange in the astral body. Maybe Hasbro will try again and do it better. But again, it is Dr. Strange and who doesn’t love him.

As the movie core is all about the expansion of both energy and consciousness this figure is very well done and could actually represent the astral body of Dr. Strange as a more sutil and transcendent body. In white pearl this piece of fine art is beautiful eventhough has no "colors". The design of the figure is exactely what the "material" Dr Strange is...and the very figure is to transmit a sensation of lightness and sutilness that seems to bring the movie astral Dr. Strange character to life.

This figure is better then I expected. I got the regular version and only bought this because of the sale price. Articulation is easy and the overall look makes it good for any Marvel movie world toy display.

Dope!! Even though the articulation in this figure is pretty tough and stiff, the figure is just outstanding!!

Overall, though, great add to my son's Marvel collection.
