Sharp picture, sturdy build, close focus
Still testing this out, but I have to give the seller credit for responding to my question WITHIN HOURS.Key points:- solid build, all metal, including lens housing- lens has 2 adjustments: focal length (ie "zoom") and focus- power is barrel connector 2.1mm x 5.5mm (the most common 12v DC adapter size, center positive) NOTE: adapter is NOT INCLUDED, which is very clearly stated in the description (thank you seller for the heads up!)- Supports RTSP video streaming (which is what I needed) - TWO configurable streams (each can be set for codec h264/h265, CBR/VBR, quality, bitrate, FPS, resolution) This is impressive for such a small, inexpensive camera- Configurable network and security- Even supports PoE!- Small, in case you're looking for something fairly inconspicuous- I think(?) the lens is actually glass- Focusing: minimum focus distance is around 8-12 inches - which is pretty impressive.Minor nit: the documentation could be a little better re focus/zoom and streams (or show it in the settings web UI!) - but seller responded IMMEDIATELY to questions, so not taking off a star.Overall, just a great little camera for the price!PS Just to repeat the seller's info for streams:rtsp://IPAddress:8554/profile0 (Main Stream)rtsp://IPAddress:8554/profile1 (Second Stream)rtsp://username:password@IPAddress:8554/profile0 (if a password has been set)You can also change the port to the standard 554 in the camera settings if needed for compatibility with your DVR software

NOT USEFUL ON ETHERNET
This does not work. There is no way to set it up to use on your network or computer. The Windows driver does not exist. As a paper weight it might be of some use in a breeze.

Great little camera for daylight hours
It's got a good picture - colors are accurate - but it is totally useless in the dark / low light. Fortunately, we are not using it at night.

Small, solid, good image quality
I got the "2.8-12mm Manual Zoom" version. Like others have said, it does what it says it will. Image quality (2304x1296) is good, and it performs well in low light, though note that it does not have infrared illumination. It's tiny and solidly constructed, and the adjustable field of view is helpful for covering the area you need covered. The (manual) zoom and focus operations are not obvious; it does not stay in focus after you change the zoom level (the outermost ring & thumbscrew) , so you need to refocus (with the inner ring/thumbscrew) and the focusing is very touchy. It takes quite a bit of fiddling to get to a desired zoom level with sharp focus, but once it's set and the screws tightened, it seems to stay tight.I'd only add that if you're at all concerned about privacy or security, you will want to put this on its own network without access to the internet. As soon as you power it up and it gets a DHCP lease it immediately opens connections to a dozen different IP addresses hosted on linode and elsewhere. May be entirely legit, but if you just need a local RTSP stream there's no reason for it to be phoning home.

Nice manual-focus camera. Can focus very close (2-3 inch).
Does everything I need it to do. Mounted above a household water meter to connect to a NVR and monitor water consumption. Can clearly see the dial, needle, readings....

A specialist camera that's a bargain
I bought this camera to test for a multi camera setup for streaming. This camera is a specialist camera that fits a very specific niche. If you fit in that niche this camera is amazing value at the price. The options for a power over ethernet camera that can produce h.265 streams is very limited.Picture quality is very good and setup was fairly easy given the complexity of h.265 streams. I was able to connect this to Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) via VLC sources and using NDI with VLC.This allows me to have camera feeds over the network to my streaming software and avoids multiple USB cameras and only have one cable running to the cameras for better installation. This is 100% worth a look if you have specific needs for this type of camera.

incredibly lacking in support and software
Mine was dead on arrival, but even if it had worked I would have returned it. The software is sort of accessible via the WEB but it is a complete joke. Documentation is horrible. The power adapter built into the cord takes an RJ45 cable, but it doesn't lock and falls out easily. I guess you could tape it together. All in all, a waste of time.

Rtsp works ok, but camera won’t send alarm email
I can view video via VLC, or an ip camera app on iphone, but the built in camera web software won’t send an email when motion is detected. Viedo quality is good, and I like the zoom/focus lens.

Can focus down below 6cm
The camera resolves in HD an area between 6cm and 11cm from the camera approximately, ideal for the purpose I was intending, elevation angle can be set, but pan is not a function of the supplied mount.A little complicated to set up over a WiFi Bridge and 4G WiFi Hub, as you need to use the CMS Software to configure the hardware for your network and intended bandwidth, the supplied manuals are a little vague on setup when streaming to third party software, so you have to set up the cameras for your compliance with your third party software using the CMS software.Took longer than I'd like of trial and error, but eventually configured a fixed IPs that I wanted to use (not the default option since I want to use four cameras for my project), this can only be done when accessing the cameras using Remote Configure. Note when setting up for 1080P, you might want to drop the streaming bandwidth down to 2000kbps, to lower CPU load, it remains at 3072kbps by default.Note: I'm powering the camera using 48vDC POE, this means the camera body feels live to the touch, my project is in an electrically insulated box, so no issues for me, but anyone mounting to a conductive surface may want to isolate the fixings using mica washers/no conducting screws/bolts.Also, there was dirt on the inside of the lens, requiring disassembly of the optics to carefully clean the inner surface, other than that, which was obviously introduced at manufacture, the camera does the job.4 Stars due to the complicated setup and vague instructions, other than that, good budget indoor camera for the price.

Kamera war schon min. 3x benutzt

Unable to find the camera with any IP Scanners
I tried to connect to this camera with several devices - A fully OnVIF compliant Video Management System, a fully compliant OnVIF NVR and 2 difference IP scanners. None of these devices detected the camera.I used a 48v PoE switch and a 12v PSU to make sure it wasn't a power issue. The supplied Instruction state the IP address is Dynamic - I tried 2 different DCHP servers (4 if you include the VMS and the NVR) and none of them saw the camera. I plug the camera straight into a router using a 12v PSU to power the camera and again nothing seen.On all of the tests the network activity light were illuminated and when using the PoE switch the power LED illuminated.I downloaded the manufactures NVSEE application to see if I get see the camera via that. You have to register and get a verification code to get the app to work. But I never received the verification code, tried 4 times. The camera might work if you have all of the manufactures equipment (assuming they do their own NVR) but without obtaining an IP address and then being able to identify the IP of the camera its not useable.OnVIF camera should be able to be used on any OnVIF compliant device without the need use a manufactures application.
