Just received and set this up....does it not work as a speaker for other things too, like videos on the internet? Can't figure out if it's user error!

I use mine for everything, I imagine you have the other things (internet , video) selected to something else in windows settings of sound device. I've run into that..

Does pressing the mute button on the device show you as muted in teams to others?

For me yes it does. If I select mute on my computer screen, the mute button on the USB-C speaker lights up. If I push the button on the speaker the indicator on my computer Teams meeting shows mute.

Mine did not come with any paperwork. Where is the power button? What exactly does the teams button do, because when I press it nothing happens?

The teams button can be used to raise your hand if you’re having a conference. Also change your speaker settings on your teams settings so that you’ll hear play back
