Don't do it!!!!
Let me start with I'm no begginer. I was the lead welder at a steel mill for 2 years and lived under my hood for 12 hours a day minus my lunch break. This "welder" is a novelty toy for the person who needs to do better then jb weld on 1 project then revive a bunch of old car batteries (and it will). I returned this after fighting it for almost a month wanting it to work. Bought a welder for $65 here on Amazon and it burns rod like a champ. I couldnt get this piece of to burn 1 rod start to finish. 250 amps is closer to 125 amps when it decides to chooch.
