You must work fast. Apply as directed, in no more than a few foot sections. Depending on temperature, don't leave on for too long. Pressure wash thoroughly as to not leave film on aluminum. I got some on spots I didn't see until I had my boat in the water. Hard to get off. I will use this product at the end of the season before I put the boat away for the winter, and hope that spring cleaning wont be as detailed.

AFTER LOOKING AT JJV'S "YOU TUBE" VIDEO, I THOUGHT THAT THIS PRODUCT WOULD BE THE SOLUTION TO CLEANING THE PONTOON HULLS FOR THE BOAT THAT I SELL. HERE IS THE PROBLEM: IT EATS EVERYTHING! I SPRAYED A 10' SECTION OF THE PONTOON, AS WELL AS THE ALUMINUM TRIM THAT IS ABOVE THE PONTOON, AND WAITED THE 10 MINUTES, THAT THEY INDICATED. I THEN BEGAN TO RINSE.ARFTER THE RINSE, I NOTICED THE FOLLOWING: 1. STREAKS IN THE PONTOON.2. STREAKS AND DISCOLORING OF THE ALUMINUM TRIM. 3. COMPLETE DISCOLORING OF MY TRAILER AND FENDERS.IT COULD BE THAT I DID NOT FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS THAT CLOSELY? HOWEVER, THE VIDEO SAYS TO CLEAN/WASH THE PONTOON FIRST - I DID THAT. 2. IT SAYS TO SATURATE THE PONTOON SO THAT THERE IS NO ALUMINUM SHOWING - I DID THAT. 3. RINSE WITH 5 TO 10 MINUTES - I DID THAT.THE BOTTOM LINE: MY RAILS ARE RUINED! MY FENDERS HAVE TO BE PAINTED, AND I REALLY DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO ABOUT THE ALUMINUM RAILS AND THE TRAILER. IN ADDITION TO EATING ALL OF MY BOAT, THE PRODUCT IS NOT VERY CHEAP AND 1 BOTTLE DOES NOT GO VERY FAR. I HATE THIS PRODUCT.

Too many applications, bought some from the local chemical company "Damon Chemical " and it works 10 times better.

You have to be careful with this chemical but it does a great job of cleaning and removing the discoloration of the metal. Applied twice and used a 3000 psi pressure washer and it cleaned up nicely. Ran out of product so didn't get a chance to get under the pontoon. I see big difference in color. Got alittle on my skin and it burned some. Washed it off and the burning went away.

I bought a bottle of this and on a cloudy day I started in. I sprayed it on full strength, (I'm sure that you could dilute this 50% with water) brushed it with a stiff brush and then power washed it off. In a few spots where it dried a little before I could power wash it off it turned somewhat white. Next time I'll do small sections and then power wash. But other then the white spots, which were my fault, this stuff works great.
