Fabulous
The first book grabbed me and didn’t let go. I devoured it in one sitting without stopping and dove into this book. I enjoyed it very much and I am about to begin the next one.

Wonderful Irish Canadian Family full of Love and Magical Abilities
The first book in the series, which has a great story line, imho lacked character development. This second book in the series does a much better job of making the central heroine, the 23 year old Fiona, much more emotionally accessible.Fi, as she’s called, has been chosen to inherit the magical abilities of the great Druid and Fianna leader, Fiann Cummhail, her many times removed great grandfather. Her brothers and their Da, all police officers, have also inherited Druid magical abilities which gives them the responsibility to protect nature and the fae in addition to the humans who inhabit the city of Toronto.Well plotted, the adventures are non-stop with magical enemies around every corner. Thank goodness Fi also was gifted with a magical companion/warrior animal, the grizzly bear affectionately called Bruin, since he saves her butt on a regular basis. In addition to her Druid grandparents in Ireland who use zoom to give regular advice is the very hot, young Irish Druid, Sloan, who also has her back in myriad skirmishes and would like to become more than friends with the red headed Irish Canadian. This Irish family is full of love, fun, good humor, and a willingness to put wrongs to right. A well edited, entertaining story, this series was an urban fantasy Kindle Unlimited suggestion and picks up where book one leaves off. I always appreciate a good story where the focus is on the woman’s personal growth and development rather than sex being the central theme.

Series is improving
I like the familial relationships. I like the foundation of magic. The story is interesting and moves along nicely. There is still no explanation of why the MC has been chosen, which I regret. Also, she is too caustic for Sloan (or other strangers) to be drawn to her, although they need to for the story to move forward. Also, the reconciliation of Da and Granda and Da and him assuming his place was also too quick and not justified in my opinion. But, the story is interesting and I will continue with the series.

4 Don’t Stare Or You’ll Get Sucked Into Their Vortex Of Nonsense Stars
A Sacred Grove is the second book in the Chronicles of an Urban Druid series by Michael Anderle and Auburn Tempest. This book definitely appropriated the Druid-badassery I had been expecting from the first novel. We get entrenched deeper into the connection the Seattle mac Cumhaill Clan have to their history and birthright, thanks to Fionn mac Cumhaill the original leader of the Fianna. Ooh, and a nice and sweet trip to visit Fiona’s growing and prospering brood of wyrms while they were in Ireland en masse. We very nearly step into the deep end within the magical community hiding in Seattle’s underbelly. Stocking up on grievances and Vows of Vengeance after an accidental hogging of Seattle’s ambient magic. How this story shaped up though was definitely affirming. Seeing their new grove flourish and become to a few new friends. Experiencing all of her brothers encounters new extensions of their craft. Magical rainbow poo as a caveat. All wrapped up with the little bow that is Sloan’s confirmed interest in our girl Fi. And some almost concrete evidence, that while her and Liam share a stable connection there are definite constraints to them ever bridging that romantic divide.

fun stuff
Non stop action with a large sprinkling of emotional fun interaction, my favorite thing in fantasy books the only other thing I can think of right at the moment is diving into book number three, adios amigos ~ D. A. B. ~

Fiona and her clan keep getting better, but there are lots of dangerous surprises. Enjoy!
Fiona has learned a lot in a short time, as has her family! Sloan helps them too. But there are so many bad guys! And they get way bent out of shape too easy. They clean out a lot of bad guys, and make some good alliances. Even get help with the family grove in Toronto. But that innocent act causes problems too, but they solve them! Maybe they will get a day to rest! Naah! Read on!

time to find the cure!
First one was better personally but only because life got so hectic and I always feel rushed when I read “when I shouldn’t” but even feeling rushed, I still got a lot of enjoyment out of this hahaAnyways. I love Fiona and her family. Her brothers are so goofy and honestly they kinda remind me of the bond the Hex Boys have from the DNC series (it’s my favorite series ever so that says a few). The Magic is definitely a new issue in Toronto and I took from this book new “species” that were always there in plain sight. It’s like an unveiling of a magical world within an unveiled magical world lolSloan’s friendship is awesome. Love the slow burn. People with tasks did it right. The magical community is just cool.

Wow!
The first book was good, the second even better. I had put off reading this series only cos I like to binge read a new author/series as one book at a time sometimes leaves me hanging impatiently if it's good. And if it is a story that gets off to a slow start I might not bother with episode 2 if the timeline to publish stretches out too far. Can't wait for the next book to see what Fiona is dragged into next

Druids in Toronto!
A great blend of Celtic mythology, adventures, magical & supernatural beings, & a contemporary Toronto family of who come into their owe when they inherit Druid magic. A family that adds extra meaning to 'Protect & Serve' in modern day Toronto. I loved the blend of characters & their relationships with each other & those around them, & especially the snarky, funny interactions between the sister & brothers, & those they considered family & friends. It's a thoughtly good read that I have no problem recommending.

Fast paced and exciting.
I am enjoying this series very much and finished book two in record time (with the rare pause to sandwich make. Very fast paced and well thought out. If there is any criticism I would say that a few extra pages here and there to expand an event or background explanation would perhaps help. But that's just me. All in all I am coming to love these characters and their story.

The false druids!
Fi and her family have accepted that they are Druids and determine to bring nature into their lives and the life of their city. But nothing is easy and they are accused of crimes by the false druids, Barghest. This is a fantastic series that has had me binge reading since three books have been written since I read the first one!
