Good detail.
Well written. As if Spock wrote it himself.

Remembering Spock
Thank you so much. I wish it was longer and more detailed in describing about Spocks today guys on Suraks teachings.

Definitely one that requires you to know what it's talking about.
But frequently sweet (I'm especially glad that Michael and Sybok are around, and the chapter on Kirk is lovely) while still sounding like an older and wiser Spock. Glad I bought it, and the people who are downvoting it because they don’t like Discovery should have read the blurb. Of course Michael was going to be included, it would be insulting not to.

Fills in the details of Spock’s inner life
Anyone who knows me knows that I was first a Star Trek fan and then a Star Wars fan. Even though I saw the first Star Wars movie at about the same time I saw reruns of Star Trek - TOS, Star Trek has always appealed to me more. And of course one of my favorite characters is Spock. In recent years I’ve read Star Trek books as well as watched the shows and movies. Una McCormack has quickly become one of my favorite authors of Star Trek. She has a knack for capturing the actors’ voices so that you have no trouble at all hearing them in your head as you read. She is also supremely talented at showing us the inner lives of these characters we love on our screens. This is where novels like this can really add depth to these stories we love. And this “Autobiography” is no exception. Theoretically having seen everything that Spock has been involved in on the screen, the events were mostly familiar, but now we know how Spock felt about all these events. Yes, felt, because as we have discovered over the course of time Vulcans are not devoid of emotion or feelings. No, they may have very rich, even turbulent emotional lives, but they cultivate strict control of them.I very much enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more by McCormack.

Live long and prosper!
I'm not a fan of the original Star Trek series (sorry!), but I did love the films as a kid and Spock was always my favourite character. I think I like him even more now! "The Autobiography of Mr. Spock" is incredibly well-written, and really brings an extra dimension to this well-loved character. This is a book I would enjoy reading over and over again... and I must check out the rest of the series too! Live long and prosper! My thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley. This review was written voluntarily and is entirely my own, unbiased, opinion.

An excellent insight into the character and his story
An excellent read for anyone with the slightest interest in Vulcan, Romulus, Earth, Starfleet or the man himself. Spock's voice is clear and recognisable throughout. This form - a 'wisdom book' rather than just a narrative account - gives new insight into already familiar parts of his story, and fills in gaps

Fascinating?
Perhaps no character in the annals of popular TV sci-fi quite like the relentlessly logical, Mr Spock.. The quiet star of the original 1960s original series, Star Trek, Spock, the Enterprise's pointy-eared half-Vulcan, half-human science officer, Spock (portrayed most famously by the late Leonard Nimoy and more recently by Zachary Quinto and Ethan Peck) remains one of the most popular characters in the long history of the hugely popular franchise..Here we get Spock's story (as imagined by Una McCormack) straight from the Vulcan's mouth, from cradle to grave with every mind meld and neck pinch in between. As Spock himself might say: "Fascinating.".

Disappointing read
I found "The Autobiography of Mr Spock" a profoundly disappointing read. As a longtime fan of the "Star Trek" franchise, I was excited to learn more about one of the most iconic characters in the series. However, the book failed to live up to my expectations.Firstly, the writing style was arid and uninspiring. I expected a book about the fascinating life and experiences of Mr Spock to be engaging and compelling, but instead, I found myself struggling to stay interested. The narrative was dull and lacked the depth and nuance that would have made it a truly engaging read. Moreover, the book did little to offer any real insights into Mr Spock's character. There was no honest exploration of his motivations, inner struggles, or personal growth. Instead, it felt like a collection of shallow anecdotes and trivia about the character's life. The author had compiled a bunch of facts and events from the series and put them together in a bland and uninteresting way.Overall, I found "The Autobiography of Mr Spock" a letdown. As a fan of the franchise, I was hoping for a deep and engaging exploration of one of its most iconic characters, but instead, I got a shallow and tedious read. I cannot recommend this book to anyone looking for a meaningful and insightful exploration of Mr Spock's character.

Muy interesante y bello
¿Alguien duda de los sentimientos de Spock? Yo...

Well written, but ...
... given the close friendship, James Kirk is surprisingly rarely mentioned.Otherwise that's actually logical, as his friendships with Kirk and McCoy were Spock's more uncomplicated relationships. It seems that he writes mostly about things he regrets or things that need explanation. In general the book feels really like Spock could have written it and it's in its writing style the opposit of the one of Kirk. It's well structured, sometimes philosophical, but seldom overly emotional or too direct. I find that fact logical and fitting.

Captivating
Oh my gosh! This book was fantastic, I couldn't put it down. It really brought Mr. Spock to life and have an in depth description of the mystery man. Although I was little disappointed that it didn't cross match with several other books that had him get married.

Not what I expected
After First Reading the autobiography of James T. Kirk , I expected a similarly entertaining read, also focused primarily on the TOS and TOS movie era. Alas, a lot of this book ties into Discovery, Picard and even into the kelvin timeline, which i didn't enjoy nearly as much. Also, there are disappointingly few mentions of Kirk, and those that are there, differ from that autobiography. You'd think, they'd be consistent at least here...
