I use this as a cold compress and keep it in the freezer at all times. It comes in a heavy plastic zip-lock bag. Don't throw this bag out as the instructions recommend that you place the mask in the bag while in the freezer.This mask stays cold and remains flexible to mold to your face. The velcro/stretchable head strap, which holds the mask in place, is thick enough to be comfortable.The outermost material, that sits against your skin, is very soft and smooth and feels something like lycra.I'm very happy with this mask and will probably order another one.
