Cute and shiny round tea kettle
The media could not be loaded. Brief edit after several months of using daily: I love it! It comes to a boil quickly, whistles, and still looks like new. No discoloration inside or out and no rust. Pours without dripping. I'm still using highest heat on the smallest eye of my electric glass cooktop, with no problems. Half a liter of water boils in just under 5 minutes on high.I actually needed a smaller tea kettle but the only small one I liked, an expensive brand, had many bad reviews re rusting. I ordered this one instead and I'm pleased with it so far. It's larger than I need but isn't huge and looks good on my stove, as I make a cup of tea once or twice almost everyday. The flat bottom measures 5 inches across and doesn't quite cover my smallest 6" stove eyes.Unlike some reviews, mine does whistle even with only 16 fl. oz. of water in it, which comes to about a half-inch below the bottom of the inside spout openings. The whistle isn't loud or shrill but is loud enough to hear (see video).48 fl. oz. of water comes to about halfway up the inside spout openings, so it can hold much more water than one person probably needs, but it works with less water. Two quarts completely cover all the inside spout openings. The box says 2.2 liters but that may be a stretch for actual use. The stainless steel is a little thicker than I expected, maybe medium weight, and the bottom is thick and flat. It seems well made and it heats up quickly. The box says to use only low to medium heat because flames would go up the sides to the spout. My electric glass cooktop has no flames so I use highest heat on the smallest size stove eye. I've had no problems using high heat. The box says it was "Made in China," but the bottom of the kettle is marked "Germany" (not "made in," though). The bottom also says it can be used on gas, electric, ceramic, halogen, and induction cooktops. It does not give specifics on the stainless steel, but amazon's info says 18/8, which should not rust. It doesn't say whether it's okay to put in a dishwasher, but the spherical shape would not drain completely so I'll just swish mine out with soapy water. Mine had no information card inside, just what's on the box and kettle bottom, but it did include a small packet of citric acid detergent for any mineral deposits. I've not needed to use that yet. It's a cute round stainless steel tea kettle that's not super big and works for me. If I have any rust or other problems, I'll try to remember to edit my review.

Even better than expected
I recently ruined a tea kettle by accidentally turning the wrong burner on and charring the empty kettle sitting on that burner. Without hesitation, I re-ordered the same kettle. I had the DclobTop kettle for a few years and it was just what I wanted in every way. I like the way it looks. It is easy to clean if I fry something next to it and it gets splattered with grease. The whistle is loud enough to hear if I'm in another room but not ear-splitting. My only concern when I bought it a few years ago is that it might not hold as much water as I would like. However, I experimented and found that I could fill it significantly above the MAX fill line with no negative results. It didn't boild over and the whistle still worked perfectly.

Beautiful kettle
I have used this kettle a few times and never whistled. Maybe I am doing something wrong. I will continue and hopefully figure it out. But must say it is a gorgeous kettle.Update: Figured out how to make the kettle whistle - must turn the cover to close it well. Now I live this beauty.
