Blowout Sax: You don’t have to read music...so anyone can learn

Delivery was as expected and quick. This saxophone tuition book is for those with music reading ability and for those without music reading ability. It is a real hybrid tuition book.As an intermediate player myself (alto), I noticed a few bad habits creeping into my playing and so wanted to go back to the beginning to correct them. For example, my embouchure, playing by ear, playing in a relaxed manner and tuning to name as a few points for improvement. And after one practise session only with this tuition book my technique improved noticeably and I’m now gaining a far better understanding of the above pointers and indeed the saxophone.The book does not come with a CD. Apparently, CDs are outdated these days. Not to worry though, the author (Mark Archer) has this covered and gives invitation to email him for a link to download prepared music files and information. More to the point, Mark was on holiday when I emailed and yet he still replied with the promise of sending me the link to download said files on his return. Sure enough, I received the link shortly afterwards and now have the necessary files.Blowout Sax is an impressive saxophone tuition book which is easy to read, it is written with a humorous tone and is not too wordy. It is helping me to improve my playing and I highly recommend it for both the beginner and intermediate saxophone player. I'm not advanced yet so watch this space, lol. I do not know Mark Archer or have any affiliation with Blowout Sax but this tuition book is a superb find and exactly to my needs. And cheers to all involved.

Bought this book as I wanted to learn sax but couldn't afford lessons after they kept going up in price, easy to read, fun to learn gets you playing tunes you recognise straight away.
