When checking reviews you will always find both five star and one star reviews. That certainly applies to this item. After reading the five star reviews, you are convinced that you have found the perfect choice. Then you read a couple of one star reviews and feel that you would be a fool to purchase an item so useless and poorly made.So I went with the five star reviews. Now that I have the toenail clippers in hand it is obvious that they are very well made. It is easy to remove and replace the locking clip at the bottom of the handles. The cutting blades are sharp and meet evenly. They are comfortable to use and do not require excess pressure. I'm not sure why the one star reviewers had so much trouble. Mine work just fine.
