Bad quality control
I bought this for a project to do with my grandson. The instructions were pretty sparse which added to the fun of trying to figure out how to build this thing. We ended up having to enlarge a couple of the mounting holes in one of the circuit boards to make the screws fit together. Again, that added to the fun of doing the project. The killer though, is that they packed the wrong transistor in the kit!!!! So, at the end of the day as he is about to go home, we don't have a working Tesla Coil.I would work with the manufacturer to try to get the correct part, but I can order it myself on Amazon for 85 cents and get it in two days, so I'm opting for that route. Next time my grandson and I get a chance, we'll finish the project. No thanks to the manufacturer.I'd give it less than three starts for the poor quality control, but we had fun working on it, even if we won't see it in action today.
