Heart of the Enlightened: A Book of Story Meditations Paperback – October 3, 1997

I liked it.

This book helped me change the way I think and reinforce the eternal truths . Books like this should be required in all households to learn about happiness, love ,self-dignity and inner freedom. Especially these days when our young and old are suffering from depression, low self-esteem and neurotic fears.

What a wonderful, insightful, spiritually strengthening and deeply meaningful book!It is not easy to read one story and go immediately on to the next...it takes time toreflect and sink into the deeper meaning of these brief examples of everyday lifesituations...but, I also found I couldn't read just one and put the book down. This isa must have for anyone interested in their spiritual growth and insight!

For those interested in opening their heart, this is a very good book which gets you to look at things with your heart and not your mind. For those just looking for a good and entertaining read, this is also very good.

This is a really enjoyable book to guide you in meditations for your heart and spirit.

This is my favorite collection of stories from Anthony DeMello. These are stories and parables that encourage you to recognize cloudy thinking and encourage you to think outside the box. You cannot read these stores without at some point questioning your own habits of thought. Many are amusing; most are thought provoking.

I was already familiar with this book bu it's perfect for airports, doctors offices, etc. A few short paragraphs you can read in a minute to 3 minutes then think about for ten minutes to 10 hours. Demello gathered these pearls of reflection from all over the world.

Great short stories. Each one teaches a lot.

I have to admit I can't get enough of Anthony de Mello. He cuts through all the nonsense of the world with a good hearty laugh. This book is full of short stories/parables that will enrich your soul and worm their way into your heart - if you take them to heart.
