Long description of short story but good romance
Not bad novel, but few points below:Some places the writer just stretches a scene to a level that it's annoyingThe novel ends at a cliffhangerThe sex scenes are good somewhere but mostly it doesn't make any sense. Like she fainted at the dungeon type place where he took her, but did not faint during the marking ceremony or after that....

I want more.
Dark. Steamy. Addictive. This duo never ceases to amaze me and this first book in the trilogy was no different. It was a complete page-turner, the chemistry was pouring off of the pages and I still wanted more. There is suspense, twists and turns, edginess and of course romance. I highly recommend it to all.

Crazy, Addictive, Intense and Wild 🔥🔥😍😍
OOHHHHMYYYY.. I CAN'T... THIS ONE. WOW!!!!!!!What a wild ride this one is. A story you wouldn't be able to stop reading even for a little while. I freaking devoured this book like crazy and I'm already like.. I NEEEEEEDDDD MY NEXT FIX RIGHT NOW.The book starts with us taking through the journey of Ivy's life and the unexpected curveball thrown in her life in the form of marriage to a complete stranger. That even none other than the head of one of the most elite families of IVI, a secret society. She has no option but to fulfill her duty when her own brother is shown as such a selfish and cold hearted person. Ivy loves her father and sisters and for them she knows she has to go ahead with the marriage.Santiago de la rosa.. Oh my.. What do I say about the man Ivy marries. Just like her I FREAKING HATED & SWOONED OVER HIM AT THE SAME TIME. There's just something about Santiago, that dark personality with scars both inside and out, emotionally unavailable and unable to express his emotions, yet unknowingly is gentle and caring towards Ivy, I just found that sooo🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. I can't help it, he's like a ripe forbidden fruit and yeah SANTIAGO DE LA ROSA IS FREAKING SMOKING 🔥🔥🔥🔥💋💋💋💋💋. AHHHHH.. Their moments together at times made me sigh and at times had me *fanning myself *🔥🥰.ANDDDD THAT ENDING THOUGH.... OHHHHH... I HAVE NO IDEA HOW I'LL SURVIVE TILL THE NEXT ONE COMES OUT. 😢😪♥️.I'm already planning a reread for me to survive till then but also Santiago's Hotness definitely demands me to devour this book all over again. LOVED LOVED FREAKING LOVED THIS ONE. 💋❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

the darkest, most devilish and most destructive story of the year!
Dark romance reached a new height of perfection in pens of Natasha Knight and A. Zavarelli in Requiem of the Soul. These brilliant authors came together to create a twisted, intoxicating and addicting dark mafia world. With broken and villainous alpha antihero. With an innocent and utterly fierce heroine. And their jaw dropping, breathtaking and explosive romance. The most fantastic and genius Beauty and Beast retelling I have ever read.Ivy Moreno thought she could escape her father's connection to the corrupt and all powerful Society, IVI. Till the most powerful Sovereign Son, one of the founding family's head, Santiago De La Rosa claims her as wife. She doesn't want this marriage but she is helpless and desperate to save her family. Santiago has plans to torture her, break her and extract his revenge. Will the monster win or will Ivy expose another side to him?I have a weakness for dark mafia arranged marriage romance. But this story is so much more than that. The authors gave the old story new twists those just intrigued me and bound me to the pages. They delved deep into hearts of Ivy and Santiago and added layers after layers those I never could stop exploring. The plot is beyond complex and action packed with fast paced execution. You can never guess what will hit you and you won't be able to stop as you will be dying to know the next step. There is violence and corruption. There is untamed passion and sinister mind games. There are secrets, deceptions, vengeance, betrayals and above all, that brutal cliffhanger ending!Santiago is such a special antihero. He has the appearance of the devil. He is scarred inside out. Everyone is afraid of him. He is ruthless and callous. He has the sharpest mind and most wicked tongue. His intentions are crule and executions are merciless. He is the darkness that consumes every light. But not Ivy's. This girl has been fed to the wolves but she refuse to cower and submit. She defies Santiago's moves to control her. She endures his punishments with tears in her eyes and hatred in heart. But, in middle of this carnage, somehow she has found Santiago's other side. A side that can be tender and protective. Santiago finds Ivy to be infuriating and distracting as her sweetness and fierceness is derailing all his plans. The connection is crazy. Beyond reasons. This was one of the steamiest and most depraved stories I have ever read. Filthy. Dirty. Pervert. Erotic. The intense emotions and the sensational suspense in Requiem of the Soul by A. Zavarelli and Natasha Knight consumed me whole. This was the darkest, most devilish and most destructive story of the year!I reviewed an early copy voluntarily

This duo delivers a masterpiece of decadent debauchery, this story will consume you, it will devour your soul, like a candle it will illuminate your path while you navigate the intricacy of a masterfully woven plot supported by an addictive writing, and just when the climax of the story reaches its peak, the flame will die and its smoke will blow you away sucking in any air you had left in your weak body. This story has so many twist and turns. Santiago is a devil you will love to hate. I can't wait to get more of him. Seriously I better get more of him. Ivy is a good heroine and just what Santiago needs.. There are some dark parts and some sexy parts.I know, I know the cliffhanger at the end is brutal but book two is closer than you think! As promised by this wicked duo a brand new candle will be given to us to lit our path into book two.

Dark read
Ivy has no idea of what will happen to her when she is forced to marry Santiago but she soon realises he hates her but she doesn't know what for yet she still can't help being drawn to him.The characters are great and interesting but some of the book I found boring and I skimmed a few pages throughout without missing anything, I enjoyed Ivy and Santiago time together but I wish more had occurred throughout the book so we had a better picture of what was going to happen next and I don't just mean the cliffhanger at the end. I wasn't really wowed by this story and and although I will read the next part I don't have that omg vibe that would make me desperately want to read it.

Needed more
I had great expectation for this book. The thing is some authors can only write a strong male lead if the female is weak. For me the female lead was too powerless so I got bored and skip a ton of pages because l know that her resistance is just token and there is no real challenge. It seem to heat up at the end but am not sure if I want to spend money on book two for more of the same.Am probably alone on this but it gets old quickly when there is no bite to the female lead character and she is just rebellious in her head but acts dim witted

It was ok but weird at the same time.
The characters - mainly the men, were very stiff in their interactions, especially Santiago.Ivy was so incredibly dumb and it grated on me when reading some of her pov’s.The plot didn’t feel fully developed and a lot of the characters came across as 2 dimensional.Santiago hating someone he doesn’t know simply because they are related to someone who “maybe” killed his family is just ridiculous to me.
