Excellent for crushing multiple garlic cloves. I always break the hinged sort and find them fiddly to clean. This is sturdy and very easy to clean - scrape with a knife, quick rinse and put in the dishwasher. Removed one star because if the handles were slightly longer they wouldn’t dig into my palms and the design would be perfect.

I purchased this item hoping it would be an improvement on my standard garlic press - particularly with regard to cleaning the tool. However, I only found it marginally easier to clean. And in fact, it does not work better than a standard garlic press. First, the small grates that cut the garlic are not sharpened in any way, so you have to apply quite a bit of pressure to squish the garlic through the holes. The resulting garlic pieces are also larger than what you achieve with a regular garlic press, which is fine for some dishes but those interested in purchasing should be aware of this.All that said, this press is very sturdy and it will last a lifetime.

I bought this to replace two traditional garlic presses. Why? A couple of reasons... First, this allows for mincing of multiple cloves at a time, or larger cloves. Both of those were issues with the traditional garlic press. We use a lot of garlic. Second, cleaning the traditional garlic press is a pain. This one was much easier to clean.Only downside is you do have to put a lot of pressure on the device and rock it back and forth to mince the garlic. So if you have weak hand or arm strength, this may not be the best option for you.The silicone peeler tub works well and it is so satisfying to hear that crunch and have a slick, clean clove slide out the end. Also keeps my hands from getting sticky peeling.

The silicon piece peels garlic like its nothing! I tried filling it up almost all the way with garlic.. Not a good idea lol it just spills out the sides. 2-4 cloves is a good amount, a few hefty push-rolls and you got peeled garlic! The garlic smasher however could be better. The design of the smasher makes it to where garlic can shoot away from the middle bit since its curved, so it makes it to where pieces get stuck on the outside edges of the holes and you almost constantly have to scrape it off. It still works well, that's just a small gripe!

I’m so glad I bought this garlic set! I usually use a garlic press because I hate how garlic makes my fingers smell for days, even after using the stainless steel hand washing thing that is supposed to take the smell out. But I hate trying to wash the garlic press because you can never really get all the tiny pieces out without using your fingers. This set eliminates all of those issues! I almost don’t have to touch the garlic at all! It doesn’t get the garlic pieces as small as a press, but I’m really ok with that. The peeler is so simple, but works surprisingly well. The stainless steel piece is larger than I expected, and is a solid, heavy tool. I don’t feel like I will bend or break it at all when I’m putting pressure on it. Such an excellent buy!
