While I'm personally not a fan of citrus oils in my skincare, this SKIN SAPIENS GLOW Facial Serum is surprisingly pleasant and mild to use on my sensitive, combination skin. There are only ~12 ingredients, including things like bitter orange, vitamin E, hyaluronic acid, and salicylic acid (no concentrations given) and no added fragrance. But, because of the higher amount (as listed) of bitter orange, this has a pleasant citrusy odor. This is a cloudy, otherwise colorless, runny serum suitably packaged in a no-frills, frosted 1oz glass dropper (for $25 as of this writing). Can be used AM and PM, after cleansing and toning, before moisturizer. I take a few drops and lightly pat over my face and neck. It is very mattifying. I was smooth and seemingly poreless for a while after application without feeling dried out or tight.Assuming you are not sensitive to citrus or BHAs like salicylic acid, this is likely suitable for all users/skin types. I have highly reactive skin and managed to tolerate the use without any sudden flares, rashes, redness, excessive oiliness or dryness, flaking, patchiness, or new breakouts. Fairly inexpensive and mild. No "glow" for me, but pleasant to use just the same since I like a mattifying effect that doesn't dry me out.

This SKIN SAPIENS Glow serum seems to be primarily a vitamin C step for your skin care routine. Like all of the product line serums, it comes in an attractive frosted bottle with a dropper that is easy to use. The thickness of the product is perfect—it doesn’t run as a liquid and make a mess, but it’s liquid enough to make it very easy to apply and pat into your skin. There is a citrus scent, but I find it fades quickly and doesn’t interact badly with the subtle scents of other products I use. Do note that it has salicylic acid, so if you are using that in another product or have a sensitivity to or dryness from that acid, you may want to select another product. The only thing that would otherwise improve this product for me is a lower price/ounce ratio—but it certainly helps that you only need to use 3 or 4 drops a day to get the full effect. To check for any allergies or sensitivities, here is the full ingredient list: Agua (Water), Citrus Aurantium Amara (Bitter Orange) Flower Water, Ascorby/ Glucoside, Benzyi Alcohol, Xanthan Gum, Tritium Vulgare (Wheat) Germ Oil, Sodium Hyaluronate, Salicylic Acid, Glycerin, Sodium Hydroxide, Sorbic Acid, Tocopherol.

The vitamin C was grainy and drying.

This Vitamin C serum is perfect! I've tried a few different ones over the last couple years, and this SKIN SAPIENS GLOW is one of the best I've used. The bottle is lovely ~ simple label design on pretty frosted glass. The dropper works quite well. I think it's because the serum is just slightly thicker than others, so I can actually count out the drops as they dispense. Three drops covers my face easily. The scent is a fresh and clean citrus fragrance that lasts only moments. Application is easy, as the serum glides right across the skin, but there is no residue or greasiness left behind whatsoever. Skin is left feeling smooth and silky. This makes it perfect for wearing under makeup in the daytime. I do find my skin is left feeling a bit tight, so I follow it up with either a daytime lotion or night cream. My combination skin actually seems less oily at the end of the day since I have started using this. I would definitely purchase this serum again!

Ordered this for my sweetie.It rubs in and absorbs perfectly, with a pleasant, natural scent. Not greasy in the slightest! Only a few drops does the job.Most importantly, very fresh skin over a very dry late summer and early fall! A little bit of the product goes a long way.Which is a good thing, based on the ONE negative comment which she has passed on regarding this product.I ordered her a similar product at the same time, which is similar in qualities for the skin.The only negative for this - which is the price for the amount of product. The overall price is not too exorbitant, it is just you don’t get a lot.If you are a citrus fan with both the vitamin C and the acid, then this brand is definitely quality and performs as advertised!
