🔩 Drill like a pro, anywhere you go!
The Jancy JMH1200 portable magnetic-base drill press has a hydraulic motor for use in non-sparking environments where there is concern about flammable solvents, vapors, liquids, dusts, or residues, and also operates underwater at depths up to 450’. The drill press is powered by a hydraulic pump (sold separately), and operates at speeds up to 1100 RPMs. The press has two 1/2” NPTF ports, Port A (clockwise) and Port B (counter-clockwise), and a corrosion resistant exterior that makes this drill suitable for underwater drilling in fresh and salt water. It has a 2” maximum cutting diameter, a 2” maximum cutting depth, and a permanent magnet with drill point breakaway of 600 lb. on 1” thick steel when drilling holes 1-1/16” diameter and larger. A safety strap is designed to prevent the drill from falling if the magnet breaks free from the workpiece, and a chip guard controls chips. For customization, a 3-spoke handle can be mounted on either side of the press. The drill press accommodates annular cutters with a 3/4" shank (sold separately). The Jancy JMH1200 portable magnetic-base drill is 18-1/2 x 7-1/4 x 16 inches (H x W x D) and it weighs 54 lb. (H is height, the vertical distance from lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back.) Magnetic drill presses are used in steel fabrication industries to drill holes in steel where it is necessary to move the drill to the workpiece, such as ship and bridge building. They are portable and have a magnetic base that secures the drill to the steel workpiece, allowing the drill to be mounted vertically, from either the top or bottom of the workpiece, or horizontally on the side of the workpiece. They are usually used with annular cutters, though some can be converted to hold a chuck with drill bits or with threading taps. Drill point breakaway is the amount of force it takes the drill bit to push the drill off 1” thick steel when the drill is in operation. Generally, higher numbers indicate that the user can exert more force on the workpiece. Jancy Engineering manufactures Slugger portable magnetic drills and annular cutters, as well as metal working equipment for the fabrication trade. The company, founded in 1957 and headquartered in Davenport, IA, makes tools that meet American National Standards Institute (ANSI) standards. What’s in the Box?Jancy JMH1200 magnetic drill press with hydraulic motorSafety strapSpoke handleHardware3/16” hex key3/16” T-handle hex key3/16” pilot pins: 1” and 2” depths of cut1/4” pilot pins: 1” and 2” depths of cut Squeeze bottle and capInstructional DVDInstructions
