Beautiful and easy to use
I love this under glaze! The colors appear extremely similar to the tile sample shown in the photos. I purchased the Pine and it is such a beautiful rich green that skews slightly muted in the best way (though not as much as the photos would indicate). I love how it looks with a clear glaze and the amount in the 16oz container is a great value. Highly recommend for new and experienced ceramicists!

this color is a great low fire product. the price is lower than other brands and it performs as good as any.

Love speedball underglazes for my classes.
I use Speedball underglazes in all my classes. I fired to cone 5 with Amaco zinc free clear in the picture I attached. I’m happy with the results. I do recommend 3 coats for an opaque result. The student wanted a wash look, so this was applied like watercolor.

Bad batch
***UPDATE*** I reached out to Speedball directly and they immediately sent me out a replacement that was perfect right out of the bottle (4th pic). Was it a pain to have to go through that to get a quality product? Yes, but the customer service was stellar and in the end I got what I paid for so it was worth it. I will purchase in the future with confidence knowing that they will make it right should I receive another bad batch.Original Review:I’m new to speedball underglazes so I don’t know if this is a reflection of their quality or the quality of the seller who sold this particular bottle but the underglaze I received was almost solidified when I opened it. I’ve been doing ceramics for 15 years so I just figured it needed some reconstituting but no matter how many times I power whisked it, the lumps would not dissipate. It went from the consistency of 2 day old oatmeal to the consistency of watery ricotta cheese. I ended up having to run it through a sieve twice and even that did not get rid of all the little globs. Application was terrible, all of the little lumps got worse with each coat. Sorely disappointed- shouldn’t have to work so hard to try to make something usable right out of the bottle only for it to still fail. Worth the extra money to go back to Coyote underglazes apparently.

Wow, what a gorgeous underglaze.
I only use Speedball underglazes for stenciling as they are nice and thick and don't run under the stencil.Nice thick coats make for a lovely design; see photo.

Inferior product .
Paint was not filled, customer service person said I was lucky it was filled almost to the top. I told him it was filled a little bit more than half maybe 2/3 of the way . Paint was also thin or watered down. Would not recommend this product for sale to anyone.

Great color, great price, but.....
Usually underglaze is creamy. This came lumpy like THICK pudding. I cannot use it exactly as I hoped since it's not fluid, but it's the color I needed and IF I was to use it for silkscreen application the viscosity (or lack of) would be perfect.

clumpy and uneven
The product is very clumpy and needed to be watered down in order to use. After several coats it was still uneven and did not have a nice overall appearance. I would not buy this product again.
