I'm a preschool music and movement teacher and wanted to incorporate more simple dance/yoga into my classroom. I saw this book and thought we'd try it. It is FAR too wordy for preschool (at least to use in a classroom with many kids who have short attention spans), BUT it is easily modified and shortened. The kids LOVE moving around like the cats in the book. The movements are mostly things the kids can do or at least attempt. It keeps their attention.This book also explores emotions, friendship, and trying things that are difficult. I'm definitely going to get more of these books for my classroom, with the understanding that they'll have to be shortened.What a great concept!

I wish the movements were more interactive

I bought this book for two of my great granddaughters, ages 4 and 7. The many pictures of various cats on every page are amazing. The story line is 99% perfect. There's just one little, yet major flaw, in my opinion. There's one sentence suggesting for the young reader to communicate with her "imaginary friend" if she chooses to. I really wanted to give this book for Christmas, but looking for a more appropriate book. Update:. I returned and chose edible craft cookbooks for my granddaughters.

This is of great interest reading for children and cost effective.

What a clever and creative way to incorporate dance movements in a story! Photographs of the dance postures accompanied by easy instructions help tell the story about a cat with a crooked tail. Beautiful colors and details in the illustrations! A great book for a reluctant reader or an early reader. It could be used with a preschool or early grade class for creative movements. A physical therapist or physical education teacher could use it for creative play and exercise. Lots of potential for incorporating activity and reading! A beautiful book!;

We bought this for 7 years old kid who loves cat. Hope she likes it. It is like all the cat movements kids can follow.

I really enjoyed this story and would recommend it to any kids out there. Maybe even teenagers. But it’s a sweet story. It’s also can help teach friendship. This was a great story. Glad I got it.
