Q: Is this a gel infused cushion or simply a gel pocket sandwiched between two regular foam cushions? Thanks!

Three layers inside a zippered cushion cover: gel pocket, sandwiched between two layers of foam. Foam does not appear to be gel-infused foam.

Q: I need a firm, solid foam wheelchair cushion that stays firm! does it?

I purchased this cushion for someone else. But she uses it daily and it has retained its shape for the most part after 2 years of use. I can not provide first hand experience but my MIL seems satisfied with the comfort of this cushion. She is however a very light weight small person so a heavier person may have a different experience. After 2 years the cushion is beginning to show slight deformation and probably will need replacement soon.
