Ikea Locker replacement!
These worked great with an old Ikea locker that we lost the keys for. I liked them so much, and the keys were better quality than Ikea's were, so we replaced another locker just for the quality.

Does what it needs to do
Any such lock will never be super-secure, and these are no exception. A determined person can jimmy it open. I bought these to use to lock some kitchen cabinet doors at our vacation rental, more as a deterrent than for security, so that renters know the items inside are private. I can also see these working to keep younger children out of places they ought not go. If that's what you need the locks for then this is your product. They are relatively easy to install with just a forstener bit (more on that in a minute) and a wrench or pliars to hold the interior nut. Some notes that will help those of you who haven't installed these before.1) The hole in the door is best made with a forstener bit, which can easily be found on Amazon. The dimensions listed on Amazon seemed to indicate that a 17mm forstener bit would work so I bought one. It's actually just a tad thicker so just ream the hole a little bit to add the needed .5mm or so.2) The lock is intended for standard 3/4" thick cabinet doors (the lock is 7/8" long which gives room on the back to attach the nut). 99% of cabinet doors are that 3/4" thick but, alas, it turns out ours are 7/8" thick. Whoops. I managed by routing out a wider hole in back for the nut. You will likely not have to do that but DO CHECK the thickness of your doors before ordering this to confirm yours are 3/4" thick. This should also work fine in thinner doors, too.3) Finally, the lock has to latch onto something. If there is no obvious something inside you might need to add an "L" bracket or something like that. In my case, I was locking a pair of doors. One of the doors got the lock and the other got an interior latch. I bought these which are actually quite nice:https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00X8MFCEG?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details

Got these to lock the truck storage in a SUV
Its a pain having to unload my tools after work every day just to load them back in before work the next day cause crime in California has become insane criminal know they won't face any consequences for the crimes they commit they might get arrested ... Maybe but even if they do they get let out the next day so even in what's considered a good are bums walk around checking car door at night so if by accident you forget to lock your car then anything you had in it won't be there when you wake up so If I wanted to have tools and be able to work in the morning I just had to unload em every night but now I got a bunch of these it's way easier to lock 8 of them and put a weather proof trunk liner that hides the compartment over them but if someone knows that kinda car has a compartment it would still take time to break the locks and get to my tools by that time my flood light and motion sensors will have notified me im not foolish enough to think they will make it bank vault safe or impossible to break into i just need them to make it harder to get into and give me more time to be able to go deal with it but i think my tools will be safe even if some one got into the car most people who grab stuff out of cars like that try and grab what they can quick and be gone they aint spending time trying to crack the locks off ..... hopefully

OK for basics, but not secure if someone wants to force it open
I bought these to use in a community workshop. They were installed on cabinets pretty much as you'd expect- drill a hole through the drawer front, prvide a catch behind the back. Someone was able to easily break into my cabinet because the metal offeset latch bent without much force, apparently. :-(

Good locks.
Appreciate the omni directional key. The locks installed in my RV with only one slight problem, the “shower” door required a different kind of barrel lock. After some rigging i managed to get it to work but will likely switch back to the old lock for that one spot. Otherwise these locks work as described no surprises. Do your measurements before buying to ensure you get the right ones!!
