The imagination of the author is not only scientific but also far ahead of his time. His mention of INDIA is more appreciated.

It was a true adventure thriller . The sentiments of the colonists so appealingly described by the writer. I had a marvellous time reading it.

Even the novel is a fiction type , the scientific details mentioned all along the novel makes the reader believe the story could be true . Excellent description of every scene and every landscape , it sometimes makes us believe we are part of the story , rather than a reader . Past few chapters the reader will start to kindle the adventure soul in themselves and starts to think what kind of decision they would make in that particular situation .Very immersing in nature , once the reading starts its hard not to stop it midway . Author was well beyond the time period the novel was written

Quality is good but the printing is very small and contains not even a single image...you not truly enjoy reading this and also language is hard...

The Story is incomplete. It starts directly at the island and the entire part of Richmond, balloon and hurricane is omitted.The character names are also slightly changed. Cyrus Harding became Cyrus Smith. Nebuchadnezzar (Neb) became Nab.

A great read. My emotions were up and down. Going to r ad more Jules Verne. Read on to the next story.

This is my absolute favorite Jules Verne novel. The way he writes leaves every chapter conclusion as a cliffhanger. Also, since Mr. Verne is dead, who exactly is this rating going to??
