Check each hook for quality
I put the first of ten jigheads on my line yesterday evening, rigged it with a Z-Man TRD, and got to fishing. It wasn't long before I had a good fish smash my lure. I set the hook and fought the fish for a just a moment and then it got off. I reeled in my line and checked the hook to see if there was a problem. Sure enough, the hook tip was bent over at a 90-degree angle right at the very end. Ugh. Made me lose a fish. I straightened it out with pliers and continued fishing and catching.
