A clever story written like a love letter to fairy tales. I’ve always loved Japanese literature and this book will stay with me.

Despite a slow start, this book takes its time to develop each of the characters so that by the end you find yourself caring about each of their parallel stories.The author explores interesting themes, like peoples different frames of reference and how people can react to the same situation in different and unexpected ways. It’s also a story of friendship, and overcoming anxiety.A very sweet read, even if it was a bit slow in the first half.

This book, with a truly remarkable ending, is a hugely imaginative and ingeniously crafted exploration of mental health among adolescents in Japan. I was riveted throughout and can recommend tyhuis as a novel you can only put down with difficulty.

At first I thought I'd bought myself into a children's story, but it became something more. However eventually it began to grind and I just wanted it to end.

I’ve been waiting for you.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨/5I can’t say that my experience with this book was smooth.First hundred of pages i suffered. I know that Japan literature usually is slow and eventless, but normally i have no issues with it.But in this story while we are following children in the age of 12-15, who were pulled from their lonely days to a castle where they can play a game. Find a key and your wish will come true.And firstly, children didn’t talk, didn’t discussed their homes or problems. And it was dry, for my taste.With time passing they started to open up and become comrades and even friends. Sure they had their disagreements, misunderstandings and fallouts, but necessary and healing words were found and said.This story was a mix of imagination, anxiety, fighting with different problems and acceptance.Final chapters were so good.Story ended so well, and now i can definitely say that this story is an ideal read for days when you need warm words or a story showing you that dark and gloomy days will pass.

Such a great book!It starts quite slow and a bit confusing. However, towards the last part of the book it starts making more sense.I was bawling my eyes out at the end of the book.

Bawled like a baby.I stayed up till 3 AM to finish it, burst into tears, read the epilogue, and cried all over again. I wish I could experience reading this for the first time again.If you’re considering buying it… DO YOURSELF A FAVOR and GET IT!

Tangled histories full of love and hope. I started thinking that it’d be a juvenile story but it’s atemporal. Enjoy

The book was in a very good condition. The pages were not bleeding and it was clear that the book was not pirated. The story was indeed very good and it kept me interested till the end.

Honestly it was such a moving story about how helping each other when we need it most is like a complex puzzle through the time. So well tied together
