No bad marks for being nonfunctional, they do what they're supposed to. The only thing I can say is that they are REALLY orange even when I have the dimmer turned all the way up. I have ten of them in a starburst fixture and it feels like I'm sitting under an old school heat lamp at a fast food joint. No really, because not only are they orange they are HOT! I mean, if you're buying a replica of a turn-of-the-century lightbulb, you can't really expect them to be efficient, but wow. I typically dislike LED bulbs because of the harshness, flicker and inability to dim without entering into a nasty gray color temperature, but these bulbs swing a little too far the other way. FYI the ceiling behind the light is supposed to be white. Additionally, I find that these 40 watt bulbs are about as bright (just eyballing, nothing scientific) as a standard 25 watt light bulb.I'm sure they'd be fine given the right fixture, but for this application, I think I may seek out a different bulb. Maybe those faux-edison LED bulbs aren't so bad after all.

Foolishly I thought these would add light to my little office nook. I was angry during the day after installing. The light literally did NOTHING to add any brightness. It looked no different turned on than it did when turned off. But once the sun went down I was in for such a pleasant surprise. Talk about ambiance. The most beautiful night light awaited me.

Like every other 21st century human my eyes are damaged from too much blue light. These classic, warm, eye-friendly bulbs turn the tide in the ongoing war against harmful blue light.

While I do like the bulbs I will probably not order them again. I wanted some softer lighting for my home and these were just not “enough” light for me. It is totally my fault and they are beautiful lights but if you are looking for functionality, don’t get these. They do lend a warm and cozy feeling but as far as turning on a light for a need to see, they are pretty useless. I did put them in some of my larger stained glass lamps that are in the bedrooms of my home and they will serve their purpose on those rooms.UPDATE: I am more used to them now and will definitely reorder for lights as in my bathroom. They give off a soft light that is probably not enough to put make up on (I usually don’t wear any so this is fine for me) and the light is not to bring but gives a warm, homey feel and is gorgeous. I do love the lights and will eventually have them all over my home. :-)

After being frustrated with LED Edison style replica lights that were way too bright, 250 lumen porch lights, I saw these incandescent 40 watt lights and decided to give them a try.I don't know why the manufacturer listed these at being 250 lumen when you are only supposed to use watts or candlepower for incandescent lights, but don't let that put you off. With the yellowish orange color you will find out this light is just brighter than a clear 25 watt bulb.The warm glow is beautiful and you won't see spots in your eyes if you look at the bulb while lit.The packaging while minimal was very secure and none of the four lights had broken glass or filaments.I would highly recommend this light bulb to all my friends and family.

These provide a nice ambiance without too much light, exactly what I was looking for. I was worried they might be too bright based on some of the pictures so I chose bulbs that were dimmable. Unfortunately, the lamp I chose was not. Nonetheless, these did not exceed the brightness levels I needed. So for me, this is a positive, but if you're looking to fill the room with bright reading light, I would recommend a higher wattage bulb.

I have 2 other kinds of Edison-type bulbs, but the moment I saw these, I just had to get them. They do not disappoint. Not overly bright because of the amber tint and at 40 watts, that's just what I am looking for. It states on the box the lights have a 3000-hour lamp life and I am very happy about that. But it is the amazing design that the bulbs display that fascinates me completely. They come well packaged in individual boxes with plastic protection around each bulb, better protection than most box stores carried bulbs. Am I pleased? I'm thrilled!

These bulbs are dimmable, which is a great plus. I purchased them for a small industrial-type lamp, also on Amazon, and the bulb looks like it was made for the lamp. The four bulbs were safely and securely packaged, in individual small boxes, and then in a larger box. Each one works perfectly, and I love the look of the Edison-type bulb - I had never purchased this kind of bulb before. Really great buy!
